MotoGP 2018

Look how compressed his suspension is compared to the others.
One good thing with the MotoGp video pass is that you get to see alot of that on super slow mo's thru the FP sessions and they'll do comparisons on each rider , Its awesome to see full compression and re bound being used.
Jack Millers DNF at Mugello was a fork bottoming out sending him down the road early.

Even without the near crash still a pretty cool picture. 3 past or present MotoGP world champions, 2 future stars of the series (ne champions?) , and Dovi. I just don't know where he will ultimately fit into the pantheon of the sport in the grand scheme of things.

Marquez just seems to be capable of doing things with the Honda it's engineers never envisioned. How the hell do you design a bike to work for that?

I think MM is the easiest guy to design a bike for because his talent can overcome a lot of flaws in the basic package. His style changes lap to lap, corner to corner. Dani is not a slow rider and he struggles in 6-7 on the Honda. When Lorenzo was dominant the M1 was superior to all other bikes. Last year the Ducati was blowing past bikes on the straits like they were not in gear or something - hence Dovi's top 2 performance. The Honda is not a great bike by all reports, but it is fast and good enough for MM to do the rest.

Who is Aspar? Does that mean the Petronas thing didn't materialize?
The team formerly known as Aspar Ducati, changed team name to Angel Nieto team at the beginning of this season. It was originally named after Jorge' "Aspar" Martinez. He and Nieto are both highly regarded in Spains roadracing realm! Bautista and Abraham are there riders at the moment.

Does it mean Dani's gonna announce retirement at Germany ? Especially if the SIC team isnt a proper factory backed machine?
No news yet of Petronas yet...

I think its a jump ball right now. The way he has been riding lately I would assume a retirement is in the cards. But he may just be pissed that Honda sold his seat out from under him and is trying to maximize his impact in moving to Yamaha's new Satellite squad. At this stage nothing would surprise me.

His right foot is off the peg. That was the moment he and Rins had contact. Marc and his Honda were "sorting things out".
isn't is crazy though? he does everything wrong technically.... YET.... hes always near the front..... kinda like..... u guessed it.... Muhammad ali…. ali would move straight backwards with his chin in the air... and dare his oppnonent to fully commit to a BIG hook.. BUT.... he was and always WILL BE great... even if he did everything wrong.. here it is just dumbed down for non boxing people...… https://deadspin.com/muhammad-ali-was-the-meanest-boxer-of-all-time-1780680127 But the general principles apply... SPEED IS POWER make him miss and make him PAY.... and there is no such thing as FREE real estate... learn to swim without getting WET...… and boxing is the HARDEST and most unforgiving sport in the world.... there will never be another... I would bet the house on that.

This story has been making the rounds for several days now and at first I didn't really pay much attention to it, but today I had a thought. Valentino is trying to lure Ramon Forcada away from his teammate Vinales. Not the first time he's made a run at Forcada. But my thought today was wondering if this was more a move to keep Forcada from leaving Yamaha to perhaps reunite with Lorenzo at Repsol Honda? All is not well in the Yamaha garage as Vinales has frequently been at odds with his crew this season and Rossi is no doubt sick of not winning. So it could just be an internal reshuffle, but Jorge's recent form and announcement got me thinking strategy...

Rossi must have a person who is dedicated to helping him win. Burgess made the mistake of showing his commitment was to the bike and that was it for Rossi. The last 2 years Rossi has been struggling with the bike and then just riding the wheels off whatever shows up on the line on Sunday morning. So I can definitely see him looking for a crew chief with his passion to win.

I am a bit worried about Yamaha. They have seemed to always have a really first rate approach to racing both from an equipment and support standpoint. I wonder if years of top guys has drained their pockets, which are less deep than Honda or Ducati (Audi). I just don't see how they get the M1 back on top in time for Rossi to ride it and Maverick doesn't seem to be long for the Yamaha.
