Received my tail today for a 2006 Limited Edition. I have set back and read all the different threads; kinda wondering what was going on. I wanted to and have been very patient with the process, knowing that the Pearl White would not ship when the others would. When I received my tracking number, I call this ROB guy and asked straight forward questions on exactly what my package contained. He said all the rivets, etc; in other words, the only item that would not be in the box was the stainless steel bracket. Just opened my box and counted (5) sets of fasteners, but the tail has (6) holes for the tail and (3) holes for the license bracket. Such a small thing, but if I was missing a few bucks in my payment, I know I would not have received an order!!!
kkattan, thank you for organizing the group buy; the tail actually looks great, the lights are seated perfect and I think the gray would be better for the Limited Edition, but I guess I will install a gray hugger, which should set it straight. I have been refraining from posting anything until I get a few modifications done; you should see my posts with pics in about a week.
Anyways, OK with the buy and please with kkattan's effort and being a 1st time 'busa owner, with 638 miles on it, I now know what all the fuss is about.

read all the posts here and was reluctant to join the GB but decided to jump in anyway. Luckily, my experience has been a good one (order placed 09MAR, confirmation e-mail the next day and then tracking #s on 13MAR).

I placed my order on Feb 22nd.
I still have no tracking number let alone an undertail.
i stated in a previous post that the problem was with the COLOR of the undertail... the more common colors were out of stock so when you orded has nothing to do with it... because you have an LE i would think that they only made/ordered a certain number to sell... i still think it crap that you have had to wait this long.. heck i got mine on Thursday and still havent been able to put it on because i've been working 12 hour shifts...
Hey shasta you're not alone. I'm in the same boat. I finally received a blah blah blah blah blah letter about being out of stock and we're sorry for the delay and the typical insincere lip service yadda yadda yadda crapolla. Im just going to try and forget I ever ordered it and if and when it does show up, I'll be really surprised at the unexpected delivery from UPS.
i guess you are talking about the foam in the very end of the bike.. i removed it, because i wanted a more flush look.. even after removing the foam. still some space where the brake lights are.
I left mine in thinking about going to homedepot and getting the thinner foam that has tape on both sides and putting it in instead. If not i will leave it like it is atleast its water proof and dont move around...
This has to be the worse company I have ever seen in my life.They give me this bull s--t tracking number that ups dosen't even have and they told me my tail was shipped on the 16th. Today I get and email from them with a new tracking number so when I go to ups site it says it was shipped today. These people are unbeliveable.
