Much Respect to DUCATI

Went with a friend to the Ducati Dealership this morning to get his Dainese Jacket.

I was chatting with the sales rep and he offered me to take out a 999S for a spin. (i said I might be buying some around Jan 06 .....

WHatever) .

In the power department, its definetly not a busa but I loved the handling ,braking (i know big busa was asking about the braking performance of a duc on the Matrix reloaded its there) and agility of the bike. I can definetly see why they win races.


Anyways, just a thought .

I had a friend that recently traded his midnight falcon for a 999r i love the sound of them to tell ya the truth but never threw a leg over the saddle because he only keeps liability on it and i count afford to replace it

keep the wallet handy....duc has NEVER been known for having a reliable bottom end. those transmissions fall out quicker than teeth in alabama!

I have a buddy with a 996R and he gets me into corners "BAD" and threw to.
But coming out I am able to pull on him......But after that the Busa "Spanks" the Duck!

But they are a very nice machine! And sound CooL!

it would take you more than 30k to turn your busa to a ducati.
linear Weight distribution , narrow profile etc......

Test drive one in the twisties next time you get a chance. You will see what I m talking about.

They aint no Drag machines for sure .

After owning lots of Ducs for, well a lot of years, the Busa has it in comfort hands down. I have friends who do 1000 mile a day Rallys (me one of them now) on Busa's! Except for the Multistrada or the ST3 or ST4s, there is no way you could do that on a Duc and not have someone help you off at the other end

Though to say. The closest Busa to Ducati-dom is ROBOPTI's. He's got over 100k in it easy. You may be able to bolt-on a bunch of cool bits, but matching the engineering is far from moddin' a Busa to turn.

I like the duc but not the price. Even if it were priced under my 05 1k I would still have chosen my gixxer.

Having never ridden one I cannot speak as to how they handle or perform . I do know replacement parts are stoopid expensive tho
