Congrats on the bike BigStew !!!

I did the Buell peg mod to get an extra 2" of legroom, and went with the Brock's Alien Head exhaust system. You can get new luggage bolts that replace the "Frankenstein" bolts in front of the hump on each side and remove the entire rear mud flap and fabricate a license plate holder using some of the brackets from the flap.. The Buell peg mod is around 85-90 bucks from GSX1300R-T here on the .Org, the bolts you can get from smithabusa here on the .Org as well...

Enjoy your girl Bro !!!!

bird hunter - were you able to get the 2 inches because of the different exhaust - in looking at stock bike there does not seem to be 2 inches to move pegs lower, although a thinner footpeg will help as well. I am looking at vortex rearsets. I pick my bike up this week and am starting to put my mods list together. thx much
The Buell pegs will attach right to your stock rearsets and have shanks on them which give you an approx. 2" drop.. They will also clear stock exhaust with no problem. I will try to find the old pics I have of them after I installed them...

Hello Busa Family,
Name is Steffon a.k.a Wink live in Atlanta (Stone Mountain area) Just sold my 2004 Limited (Red) for the Blk & Orange horse.  I am so excited about this bike.  I got it about 2 weeks ago and can not stop riding this thing.  It is 7:25 in the morning and I have been up since 12 noon yesterday DAMN!!  A friend told me about this site and I can not stop reading all the great Ideas.  When I wake up I will do the dreaded first oil change (which was suppose to be done at 600 miles) well I am at 750 miles and will force myself to stop and change the oil.  Please everyone respond with your great input.  Here is my list of things I plan to do please feel free to give your opinion. Brock Alien Exhuast(Black Powder Coated one) / Brock Clutch mode (it is unlaunchable in stock form without damaging sooner or later) / Brock Dog Bone Lowering to 2nd hole / Kuryakyn Universal ISO Grips / BMC Air Filter / PowerCommander USB/PCIII / Gear Sensor (Replaces TRE or G-Pack Nikko Box) / Smoke tail light kit/ Last thing for now Bad-Boy Air horn to get rid of that meek-meek road runner horn.  Can anyone please tell me where I can get that orange tape/band with the Hayabusa symbol engraved on it.  I can't wait to be welcomed to the Family. I like the exhuast to be meaty and loud and heard this Brock Alien is really nice, what you all think? BTW welcome to the Family from the original poster.

Welcome to the fam GB, sound like you have a great start to getting that girl of yours dressed up with some goodies . Great choice on the color !

Big, I'm 6'4" as well and I can tell you that Heli-bar, buell pegs allowed me to do 534miles yesterday, wake up this morning and take my GSXR750 out for 3 hours. Really with those two mods you can ride all day pain free, well as long as you stay on the tires.

Welcome.

Oh yeah, you'll want to change the windscreen to a double bubble, I have a Puig and it allows me to see the whole instrument cluster, which I'm guessing by now, have realized you can't see stock at 6'4". Just my opinions but from a ridability standpoint those three changes have made the biggest difference for my height. Have fun out there. BTW: Very cool site.

350 ,

A million thanx for the Insite I will be sure to get those pegs and windscreen cause it is tough on a brotha when making those long road trips !

Bigstew, Also wanted to mention that you need to specify you have an 2008 as the springs on the Buell pegs are different for the 2008 than prior. Just wanted to point that out as I screwed that up. I got mine from GSX1300R-T on this board and he was very helpful.
