Made a seat, ripped the wire harness apart and re-routed stuff so it will fit in the smaller tail. Then wired the 1k's tail light wire harness into the 'busa harness using the stock 'busa connectors. Mocked up all the tail plastics, made a support for the battery tray... Did some other stuff this weekend too, I dunno, don't really remember.

Seat pics, and I'll be back later tonight with some photo updates for the rest of the stuff I mentioned.

Zach makin stuffs for me

Chopped up a perfectly good 'busa seat, and a tad bit rashed 1k seat:

Plastic welding:

I have a picture of the plastic welding all done, and the seat pan sitting on the bike, but I'll have to put that up later, it's on the camera not the phone.
Rough Cut out for the seats foam:

Seat foam finished being sculpted and a layer of quilt batting covering it:

Seat finshed:

Hope that thing holds up ok... Never made a seat before, and I only had the two seats, so I had ONE chance to do it. LOL! My first attempt at reupholstering anything.... EVER.

Couple shots of the plastics and lights all together for the first time. You can also see a shot of the new Ti-Force exhaust installed this weekend. It's the one I got on sale from Powerhouse a while back. I hated that rainbow look, so I yanked the badges off of it, and took the DA to it, Turned out pretty nice.

Very talented man... Can't wait for the final product..

I can't wait for the final product either!!! It's gonna be a while, got a couple more weeks of fabrication and paint prep, then the paint is gonna be so damn thick it's gonna take another two or three weeks to complete.

I've considered getting everything in primer, riding it, and painting it next winter...

Guess I should see it through to the end though, just sucks I'm stuck on the Hardly Ableson till then.

Second Fan, I got a fan from a gen 2 for dirt cheap

Had to make a bracket for the rectifier (that's what that is right?):

Here I am trying to figure out how to fit all the electronics in there, and you can see how the de-rainbowed exhaust came out:

We mocked everything up, these pictures are before we fixed the gaps, added some metal, grinded some metal, ground down some plastic etc... and by 'we' I mean zach. I was busy cutting holes in the fairings for frame sliders, removing more parts, and degreasing stuff... lots and lots and lots of degreasing stuff. Paint won't stick to dirt!!!!!

Underside conceal panels roughed in:

Close shot of side conceal panels with tank and tail mocked up to test fit the seat:

All of the above with the side fairings while test fitting the frame sliders:
