OK. So, a diesel should still be much cheaper to run than a petrol.Diesel is higher here too. Locally, its about 2.95 per gallon and petrol is 2.55 for the 87 octane.
Nice trade up Michael! I've been thinking about trading mine in or selling it and getting a newer f250 lately. It will be hard to do if I do decide to bite the bullet and do it though.

The stealerships do sting you on servicing costs, though.
I get the stealership to do everything, since it's still under warranty, but I know where you're coming from.Overall, yes, the diesels are cheaper to tow with. That is the reason I purchased mine. And yes, the dealers do charge for maintenance. But I change my own oil, 80.00 versus 120 at the dealer. There are some things that I will want them to do because I dont have the tools, but I dont mind wrenching on own ride.
