My bike's finally in the shop

***Update 2***

Well we're getting closer. They tore the head down Thursday and found some valve seals shot. Friday the Suzuki rep finally came out to look at it and said that it looked to be very well cared for. I should know something today or Monday for sure if they are going to cover it. Right now I feel as though I have nothing to worry about anymore.

We'll see.

***UPDATE***

I just got the call the other day and Suzuki is going to cover "MOST" of the repair.

They are going to rebuild the top end which includes rings valve guides and seals.  The total bill is going to be about $985 parts and labor.

Suzuki will buy the engine parts, oil, antifreeze, gasket set and labor cost but I still have to put money into this rebuild.  They tell me the bike appers to be very well maintained but I still have to pay this is bull.  You would think that with almost $1000 invested they would just caugh up the rest and cover the whole thing but NOOO.  I still have to pay $12 for a oil filter.

Suzuki will spend $1000 but they will not pay for a little filter.  Go figure

I should have my bike next week I hope.  It has already been in the shop for three weeks and I'm ready to ride it again.

yeah I'm glad that I bought it. However if I didn't have it I would have rebuilt the engine myself last year. Oh well it's about time that Suzuki gives me something for riding one of their bikes.

The total repair bill was $969.11 That breaks down to $371.11 parts and $598 labor. Total cost to me was a whole $11.79 for the oil filter. I was only able to ride it a couple of miles before I had to goto work but it runs good so far. Maybe on Monday or Thuesday I will head up to the mountains.
