I love it!! :bowdown:How about some more details on the shortened exhuast? Ive got the same system and a 240 rear, been thinkin about doin the same thing, anything to look out for problem wise?

Do the blinkers work together

Not sure I understand what you are asking, but ill try to answer. in the front, im using 48 LED tower white & red switchback bulbs. they are white when the bike is on and red when the signal is on.

in the rear the led taillight has yellow blinkers built into it, but i am also using the factory sinals in the pods w/ amber bulbs.

when i hit the turn signal switch, they all blink in the direction i am turning.

hope that answers it.

THANKS!

Didnt take any pics diring the process, but it wasnt too bad. Started by removing the can and midpipe from the header. then drilled out the rivets on both ends of the can and knocked the end cap off with a rubber mallet. next i pulled the can apart and removed the packing material. then i measured and cut about 10-11 inches out of the middle of the baffle (inner tube of the exhaust), leaving enough for a little overlap when i put it back together. next I used tin snips and cut about 5-6 slits in one side of the baffle so i could flare it our a bit so that it would fit over the other side. I used a band clamp to secure the 2 ends together and then measured the finished inner baffle length with end caps. transfered that measurement to the carbon fiber sleve and cut the sleve to fit around the inner baffle. wraped one of the original end clamp bands around the cut end and marked where the new rivet holes should be, and drilled them. reused the old steel wool and fiberglass packing (mine was in great shape), and wraped baffle. Put everything back together and riveted the end caps in place (you really dont have to worry about the band clamp now because the riveted sleve will keep the can together). my exhaust can slipped right onto my header (no midpipe going back on) and i just used the original springs to hold it on. The can is very light and the header is bolted under the frame for support so im not worried about it hurting the header or going anywhere.

It took me a few hours to do it all, but im pretty picky. be sure to wear long sleves...the fiberglass and carbon fiber dust is EXTREMELY agrivating. My daughter enjoyed helping with this mod untill some got on her arm and she was having fits trying to get it off of her skin.

i know its wordy, but i hope it helps!

THANKS!

Thanks brother, Well explained. I've done cans before, but I wasnt sure this system would take well to the cut down or not having the pipe supported, but looks like it worked well for you.

Hey,
Your bike is beautiful. You say that your back tire is a 310. A 310 tire will fit a 300 kit? If so, where did you get the tire?
Thanks

Thanks for the complements!

Yep...its a 310. It will fit on a 10.5" rim, but I cant say wether it will fit on a basic 300 swingarm setup. You may very well run into chain rubbing issues and that would be VERY bad...epecially for a $300 tire!

Wow...

I'm one of those in between guys. I'm not a huge fan of the tyre kits & the stretched look generally, however I am really impressed with what you have done. Your Busa is a work of art. It takes more than $$$ to achieve a great looking & quality build.

I smiled when I read your cubs helped you, those kind of moments are special and should never be forgotten. I take my hat off to you :beerchug:.

nice build.....one of the best bikes ive seen on here.(its between you and bigrod:thumbsup:) what kind of kit is that? i see you got the factory wheel widened, could it be an sb customs?

Looks awesome, very very nice, but.... the back wheel has to catch up a ways for my eyes.
Beautiful ride none the less :thumbsup::thumbsup:
