It does lightened up the rear, it sure about aerodynamics. I had mine setup like that for a couple of years and just recently went back to factory setup.

I missed the trash can mod, wanted to change it up a bit after running it like that for a couple of years and my passenger is more comfortable on the OEM Gail that’s the gsxr.
