My faith in bike shops is fading.

Most of these shops in No. Virginia are POS. It is getting to the point where we should consider naming names. I know the shop that got Paul. But I digress and will wait on Paul. Around these parts, you here more about how a shop has taken you than how good of a job a shop did for you. What a shame...

Called the local shop to see if they had a part. The kid on the phone said, "Yeah, we have it!"

I told him to set it aside for me with my name on it and I would pick it up during my lunch break. He said, "Sure, no problem." The shop was JUUUUUUUST far enough away to have the trip consume my entire lunch hour.

I show up, ask for the kid, he looks at me like he's never heard of me, even though we had talked a mere 35 minutes prior. He says, "Let me look it up for you." I said, "On the phone, you told me you had it in stock and that you were going to put it aside for me to pick up."

He gives me a completely blank stare. Looks at his monitor. Says, "No we don't have it in stock."

"Sorry."

Yup. I'm sorry too. I bad mouth that company every time I get. Hahm Motorsports in Anaheim, CA. Of course, it's been a while. Maybe they've gotten better.

Nah. I doubt it.
