My first busa, brand new '09...

Hey guys, I have been lurking around for the past few days and there seems to be some really great info on this site! Anyways I purchased my new busa yesterday... words can't describe how powerful this motorcycle is... To be honest I don't know how some of you guys can put a turbo on this bike, the stock power seems insane to me. I rode a honda CFR450 dirt bike back in 03 and did some motocross with that, and I also have quite a bit of experience with my fathers '04 Harley screaming eagle deuce.

Anyways I am the type of rider that can adjust very well to anything with a motor... however I do know my limits and will never try anything if I don't feel comfortable... The bike now has only 64 miles... the most of I got it up to was 6k rpm and it already started to wheelie.... I will take it VERY slow before I start to push the bike...

I love the busa and to be honest it is the only jap bike I can fit on. I am 6'9 inches tall!!

So what are all the mods you guys recommend? I have read about the kickstand mod and will do that one asap... I can't believe Suzuki still has not fixed this problem.

Other than that I have already ordered a full 4-2-1 Yoshi exhaust... I have read a lot about a power commander, is that really needed? If so do I simply get it and take it to a dyno shop to have tuned with the PC?

Anything else I should know about this bike?

Thanks a lot and looking forward to meeting all of you in person! I assume you guys have gtg's. I live in central florida.

on my '01 i had a yosh trs and a pc3.
when the pc3 went out, the bike ran the same.
if you had a free flowing exhaust like a tsukigi or brocks, you may want one.
welcome:thumbsup:

You just can't shake that perma grin you get every time you see it...can ya? Something about buying gorgeous bikes and walking out in the morning going to work and then going home that makes buying it soooo worth it!

Haha, not gonna lie, I was about to purchase a beautiful '02 busa that had a brocks exhaust. It sounded flatout SICK!! A little too loud though IMO. The yoshi exhaust has that classic crotch rocket sound which is why I went with it. Will taking out the db killer help out? I heard it doesn't make much of a difference.

A get a huge grin just looking at it, however when I ride the bike... heck you can call me Mr. Grinch my smile is so big haha!

I found myself stepping out in the garage several times throughout the night when I first got her just to look at her. Ohhhhh and still do

Suzuki built a good looking bike for sure!

you even got the fastest color

That is one sexy bike you got there  lol

Glad to be here!

congrats and welcome. If you have a full system planned, then add a K&N or BMC race filter and a PC III/V with a canned tune for starters. Put some frame sliders on it soon, too.

P.S. Your board name sounds familiar..you also a member of NLOC/NHTOC/HDF?

I am on NHTOC, and yeah i recognize your board name from there! small world haha.

Any difference with the PC III vs V? I hear the Bazzaz is a better programmer. And I just thought of something... Where can I even get my bike tuned?? I know plenty of guys who tunes cars, but I know nobody who tunes bikes in florida.... I am still new to the bike scene though

:welcome::welcome: To the insanity.
64 miles and already getting air. had 63 when I did my first.

6'9" you are so going to love this bike.

I don't know anything about performance mods, as I have not yet seen a need to go faster than stock can take me.

Ride her safe bro.:beerchug:

"To the insanity" sooooo true though!!! I will be safe man, that is priority. Respect the bike, and it will respect you. I am a firm believer in that

:welcome: love the white:thumbsup:

I originally thought I was going to get the 08 orange busa, its absolutely beautiful! However I waited a little longer and turns out the white is gorgeous, especially in the sun!...then again the orange is stunning in sunlight as well lol

well, make that an EXTRA special welcome then :cheerleader:

Sending you a PM.

Waiting for the PM
