My Insurance is lower than I thought

season 4 GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants

I pay $2616/yr for my 2024 Hayabusa here in Ontario.........................we get raped in Canada, and especially in Ontario where insurance fraud is rampant and no one seems to care as everyone with a heartbeat gets a license, otherwise you'll be called racist.
Especially around the GTA......while posted in Downsview, I recall sitting at a set of lights going straight and a student driver vehicle sitting in the turning lane next to me.....when the light turned green for all lanes, the student driver car cut me off as it went from the left turn lane into my lane and sped off....while they were sitting beside me I could hear them speaking Pashtun as I recognized it from Afghanistan...

I thought to myself that we are going to be in serious trouble on the roads when drivers like this get loose on their own....

Up where I am insurance isn't too bad as there are less vehicles on the roads.....

I won't tell you what I pay as I hate to hear of a grown man crying....

I knew it would be expensive, and was prepared to pay.........................if you want to ride the top end sport bikes, you gotta pay to play.

Ya sadly, I'm and hour from the GTA.......................and as we all know, Toronto is an hour away from Toronto itself.
I have hours of dashcam video of idiots, that seem to lack all skills including common sense and logic while behind the wheel.

At $2616 a year I wouldn't be able to afford a Hayabusa so I'm glad I don't live in Ontario. I'm with Dairyland and I'm only paying a little over 1200 bucks annually to insure 3 bikes, 2020 R1250 GSA, 2022 S1000XR and 2023 Hayabusa with full coverage.

Well I will admit it does take a sacrifice, but as an avid motorcyclist it's worth it to me.........................I've always wanted to own a Hayabusa, and it suits the type of riding I do (high speed touring). Here in Ontario, it's the price we pay for the incompetence of others around us on the road.

I don't blame you for making the sacrifice at all if the Hayabusa brings you a bit of joy and happiness. There's nothing more mundane than riding a motorcycle that doesn't make you smile.

I called my insurance company prior to searching for a Hayabusa.....if they would have quoted a number that was too high, it would have stayed at the dealership, fortunately the insurance company recognized the fact I have been with them for over 30 yrs so gave me an incredible rate....

Hi. I though mine was high when it went from $75.00 to $82.00 a year.

Our local insurance rates keep climbing very high & are not as affordable as they used to be in the past *
These are the results of your Democrat and Socialism decisions at the ballot box.......................Instead of holding those accountable for accident rate increases to pay those increases, they get spread among everyone like socialism dictates. Isn't their wonderful socialist dogma working just great for them?????

You think your rates are high, wait till you move to Ontario........................and you see them increase by a minimum of 400%, while your wage only goes up 20%

I had progressive for years with my 02 gsxr 1000 and was paying like $100 a year for liability but when I started looking for the Busa they quoted me at $1800 a year full coverage.
Went to state farm and got it for $ 1100 for both with full on the 23 Busa.
Then again this is NY
