My new bike

Had to get my break in miles done so I could do my fisrt track day next Saturday. I removed the rear fender (mud flap). Definately looks a little better. Rode 650 miles since Friday. What an incredable little bike. It beggs to be ridden hard. Can't wait to get it on the track. Definately boosts the confidence in the twisties. I have ridden the Busa on the same roads and thought I was on some pretty twisty roads. On the GXXR, I wondered if I was even on the same roads. The GXXR was begging to go faster and harder. However, I relearned what fast was. After riding the GXXR all day I came home and took the Busa out of a while. The power on the Busa is still mind boggling, and the GXXR is really a pretty fast bike. Sorry no ride pics, I was too busy riding. Here a couple of pics of the GXXR with the fender removed. It cost 39 cents for the brackets for the local Home Depot. 2 small L Brackets. Very easy and cheap fix.

These are the L brackets I used from home depot. The fit perfectly. The just had to be screwed in.

I see those chicken strips will be gone in a week! Nice looking shovel removal mod, and no reflectors

How long before you get a Dbl Bbl, pazzo levers, HH Pads, SS lines, Tsukigi Exhaust.....oh man let me stop ;)

Thanks for the kind words DD. I was trying to get the strips off today but couldn't find a road twisty enough that didn't have a bunch of LEO hanging out. I guess they were still on full alert for the New Year weekend. Charlie all those mods sound really great. But..., I look in my wallet and its starting to look like old mother Hubbards cubbard. First thing to go is the exhaust. It already has a titanium hedder, so I just need to find the right pipe. Adding the pipe with drop a bunch of weight. There's a huge cannister under there. To tell you the truth, this bike runs real strong stock. But I'm sure I won't be able to leave it alone. Brakes are awsome, but I'll be changing the pads and lines soon... and on and on.

Can't wait to hear about your track day.

Ya gonna take both bikes?!

you have it so ruff...

Say, I found an MV Agusta in Gilbert. Will you keep it at your place and not ride it?

No... this will be my first track day, so I'm just going to take the GXXR. But they have track days 2 or 3 times a month so I'll be taking both eventually. It nice to have a track so close, but with all thats going on this year, its going to start getting expensive. I've still got a Harley in the garage I've got to sell.
