In light of certain current events I decided to get another AR. I have a M&P sport 2 and it is a fantastic entry level AR but I decided it was time to go ahead and build one. I already had a matching upper and lower by Aero Precision along with an Aero .308 lower. While I would love to have done the .308 the .223 was just a lot cheaper to do. Im super happy with the results. bcg is Aero nitride/ballistic advantage hanson barrel. Altogether it cost about $1300 to do which I thought was a bit high but its a quality build. I wish I had done it a couple of years ago when Trump was President and it would have been a lot less but oh well. Its Really light weight compared to my M&P. Just got to get it sighted in. And believe it or not I got the case at Rural King o all places. Its a plano and has the pluck out foam. $90 was all. Its actually better I think then the one I bought for the other AR which was like $130 or so. What you think? Worth it?

Nice . We had a good shoot last Sunday.
Ran US Air Marshall drills, and failed most of them .

There's a sight that will never be seen here in Canada ever again....

There's a new push to ban all handguns and if it goes anything like the rifle ban we already had, it will be quick.

Lots of gun shops and ranges went out of business here.

I built my 2 in 6.5 Grendel. I really like them. If say it was worth it. Aero makes good stuff. What trigger did you use? I have a Giselle ssa and a LaRue. The Giselle is nicer but for the price I'd get the LaRue again first. Trigger makes a huge difference.
Did you know Giselle makes a model identical to ssa but 170 bucks? There own description says it all . From what I remember it's not quality checked like ssa ,but random in batch run check.
It's what is in my Aero build and is fantastic.

The two stage Larue is great. I have one flat and one curved but prefer the flat.

I had intended on getting a geissele ssa-e but the guy I work with suggested the LaRue trigger which was half the price. He had it on one of his guns and really liked it and I have to say I like it also. Very smooth nice pick up.

That really sucks. What the hell is happening with you guys?! Worries me a great deal.

Nice collection you have there! I recently went through the same thing given the current administration. Built a couple P80 glocks and an AR very similar to yours.

We have a Prime Minister who is more worried about his popularity than running the country....

That and our larger cities are the major voting power so what they say generally is the rule and he bends to them.

The initial concept was driven from a small group formed by the family of people killed in a mass shooting, this group carries a lot of weight with our Prime Minister. He decided to ban all assault style aggressive weapons along with any weapon used in any sort of mass shooting in Canada.

I think it looks like lots of fun...very nice I also think I saw PMC 556 for 54 CPR last week.

I still haven't taken it to the range and sighted it in yet. Maybe tomorrow. I have to take the wife and let her shoot her .380 Glock I bought. That way I get to do what I want...Im going to get a 3x magnifier for it. Probably the

Vortex Optics VMX-3T 3X Red Dot Sight Magnifier with Built-In Flip Mount

I just picked up a light for it so after that I should be good...yea right. But I should be. I really need to start on my other build. I got an Aero Precision M5 lower. I am probably going to do a .308 on it. Probably Carbine length. But Im not completely sure yet. I kinda want to do a long gun. Maybe even do a 6.5 Creedmore on it. It would be super cool but there would be literally NO PLACE I could shoot it. Not that I would shoot it much anyways considering the bullets are over a dollar each..Geesh..... So here is a good question for my brothers and sisters out there. If you were going to build one. What would you build. ..308 long or carbine or Creedmore.

I started a slow AR-10 build on a .308.... This one is gonna take a while. On a side note. Has anyone had any experience with Arken rifle scopes? I have been doing a lot of research on scopes since I know almost nothing about them. From everything I have read and watched on youtube the Arken is a hellofa scope for the money. I would be curious what anyone knows about this line.

I've fired rifles with the Arken SH-4 scope and the optics were pretty good and they were easy to adjust...

I've mostly used a Vortex Strike Eagle on my AR and it was a stellar scope-similar to the Arken,

It all depends on what you are looking to do and what ranges you are looking to reach out to.

Our unit used the AR 10 as a light sniper platform and we were able to punch out to 1000m on a good day, they had Schmidt and Bender optics on them.

just from my hill top - who needs assault style weapons in a city

them kind of guns stopped in UK 35 years ago after a mass shooting - it was the right thing to do IMHO

No one needs an assault style weapon but I like the way it looks and enjoy shooting it at the range. Law abiding citizens aren't the problem. Doesn't the UK have a huge knife attack issue? Criminals find a way to carry out attacks regardless of weapon used.
