My new SHOEI X-11

I've always wanted a Shoei--but they just never felt comfortable on my head. Guess I got a wierd shaped melon!

I've had mine going on 4 years now :)

I have a Shoei X-8, and upgraded to the X-11, I love it. Haven't tried an Arai, my X-11 is the BOMB.

Once you get used to the earplugs(pretty quickly),you will then never ride without them.No negatives only positive! Less fatigue, more concentration, no long term hearing loss,etc...:cheerleader:
keep an extra set in the trunk, jacket:thumbsup:

Trying them again this weekend. Going to be breezy and cool so on top of the silence maybe my brain wont freeze:laugh:

I like my X-eleven also. It's light, really stable when pointed straight ahead...not too bad when doing a head check. I've noticed no significant issue with it behind/beside large trucks.

It is loud, and I wear earplugs when I remember to.

I ordered the size that my head measured at according to Shoei. It was too tight...even after wearing it ten hours or so, so I ordered the next size larger pads for about $90. Perhaps something to keep in mind.

Nice graphics on the o.p.'s new helmet. I cheaped out and just bought the solid black model.

I forgot to add I haven't gotten to try out the ventilation, as January in the Midwest doesn't require it.

Mine was too tight also, ordered pads as you did and still very snug on my ears. I don't think these helmets change much with time like the old stuff did. Hopefully, I will adjust to the helmet and realize it's me just looking for perfection. Then again, $700 should get near perfection IMO!???

I too have had em all and the X-11 is as good or better than anything. That doesn't mean top of the line other brands aren't good as well (my AGV is great). The X-11 is, however, my weapon of choice! Besides track riding(earplugs), I always have earbuds with tunes going so don't notice wind noise.

That looks well nice. I have just gone to the Shoei XR-1000, what a difference that makes, they are so light:thumbsup:
