I see your point on this and I have heard it already from several people. It does seem odd to have the skull but it represents alot of different things. Death actually defeats us more than we would like, rescues aren't as frequent as they are played out on TV.I like your ideas. I'll give you my opinion only because you asked for it....I would lose the skull and leave the rest as is. You guys save lives and I view the skull as death, why put it in there as if death's defeating you?? It's cool how it ties in with the skull and kanji bones but it still kind of doesn't belong. The fire helmet gives this uplifting heroic vibe and the skull f's it up at the same time.
+1freaking sweet as HELL...
I would hope you go to a reputable shop with new needles and an autoclave. My doctor was telling me about a guy that just got done beating Hepatitis C, he took some nasty meds for almost 2 years...the meds make you feel sick and your life sucks.
So 6 months after he beats it he get a routine Hep C test...the doctor asked if he had been engaging in activities that would lead to the spread of this virus....he said he had not but he did get a new Tatoo...right here in Bellingham...about 6 months before.
The Hep C was a new strain...different from the one before and even harder to beat.
I have tattoos but have not had a new one in over 10 years...I wont be adding onto them either....its just not safe.
If doctors start giving tatoos in medical offices then id consider it.
Good enough. There is also another reason, it looks kick ass!
Hep C is wicked bad and if that guy was able to be cured he is one of the lucky few. There are not many diseases that can be readily caught by anyone that are worse than Hep C. This is the one I worry about most as a FF with all the exposures to blood borne pathogins we get.My doctor was telling me about a guy that just got done beating Hepatitis C, he took some nasty meds for almost 2 years...the meds make you feel sick and your life sucks.
