My wife’s next bike??

@Tached1300 regardless of her getting comfortable with her bike in its present ride height...I would get on to lowering it. She is on tippee toes in your photo...I'm just not a fan. Maybe just my opinion Bro.
The word "tippee" as in tippy over. View attachment 1625920
Good on you and the re-training sessions. Just a suggestion too,but sometimes loved ones are the last people that should be teaching loved ones to drive/ride.

I can STFU now.
Rubb.
She has taken the MSF course but that was prob 12 years ago, she can flat foot using one leg only but has to adjust to it.

Everyone knows how Rubb can go on...and on...and...
Beautiful bike, beautiful lady...when that one flat foot goes down on a pinch of gravel etc. Just me and my paranoia. 40+ years on bikes and I still 1 finger clutch/brake...who am I to judge. :p

No worries you had a good suggestion and the bike may still get lowered but she’s really wanting to conquer it as is but I’d like to look at either a lower seat to give her just a tad more foot on the ground

For a quick unplanned photo op, this came out pretty cool I think.

I once saw Neil Degrasse-Tyson suggest in a pod-vid that we ditch covers for our cellphones so that we adapt to the nature of the device. While I don't entirely agree with that logic (seatbelts, for instance), I do believe this approach has application in motorcycles in re foot contact. Can the rider get both feet down on tip toes?

I cannot flat-foot the V-Strom, have no intention of lowering the seat in order to accommodate; instead learning to adapt my body posture.

She’s doing great thus far with it as is, I’m going to adjust the preload and hope to get just a slight change in her favor

Been trying everywhere for a set for the busa - seesm they have stopped making them for a while :(
There is a knock off of the t rex sliders I seen someone post about on here awhile back that I've been looking at. I know they probably aren't as good as the original but they are quite a bit cheaper and from the little research I did seem to have good reviews for low speed stuff. May be something worth looking into at least until u can find the originals. I think they were only around 75 bucks. I may actually try to fit a pair over the winter if I can dig myself out of the financial issues caused by the rona lockdown.
