MYRTLE BEACH BIKE WEEK 2004

me and the crew will be riding out of nashville,tn for black bike week we are going to trailer our bikes down peace.

For everyone going down lets have a meet and greet one evening or night. On that Thursday night there will be a big party at bobos' on King's Highway. Last year we had about 500 people in the place clubs from all over, got to point where we couldn't let anyone else in (fire code).

Well, the "King B" will probably make this trip also. Seven of my riding buddies went down and represented the Lake City out of Louisiana and I just didn't have the vacation time or the funds to make the trip. So in '04, I plan on making the trip to BBW (Black Bike Week) and Laguna Seca in Cali once again. See ya'll there...

To answer your question these are to separate events. I now haveto decide between BBW and some new stuff in MIAMI during the same time!!
 
Bachrles how's the recoup going?I will be attending BBW 04 its always the the last week in may culminating on memorial day.check out blackbikeweek.com
 
I may try to do both this year also...going to talk to the club about fund raising options. You have to think big to get anywhere....Why not talk about it?

Thanx for asking Jet.  I'm doing fine and the Busa is almost complete.  The doctor was really pleased at how well my knee healed and the fact that my therapist was equally impressed caused him to allow me to return to work.  I've been back to work for about a week now and I'm cool.  I just never would have imagined just how much effort goes into re-strengthening a knee.  Actually, I would have been better off if my leg would have been broken.  It's been 3 and 1/2 months since my surgery and my doctor originally diagnosed my time back to work as being January.  It's amazing how having ambition, being strong-willed, and a little prayer can help in a successful recovery.

That's great it does take time for the knee which is a very weak joint to heal and rehab.I'm glad your in good mind and spirits.I'm trying to make Myrtle Beach happen I hope to see you there.
 
Looks like we will be bringing a semi load of bikes from the NW. We have 16 people so far. The truck will hold up to 25 bikes.
 
You have to becarefull because the week of May 7th is Harley Week and the later is BBW if your going to ride the busa like the rest of us and enjoy gettin a little wild go to BBW if you have a custom or a Harley go to the other:O

Most of the guys that I work with are Riders of the HD's.  I do ride with them some, but they go so dang slow most of the time.  One of the guys told this funny story about Harley Bike week down there.  A young guy sits at a stoplight on his crotch rocket, don't know the type, and up pulls the Harleys.  One of the Harley riders throws some rice up under the guys crotch rocket and says the the rider of the crotch rocket, "yo dude your bike is leaking".  At that time I imagine it was funny to the Harley riders, but the guy pulled a handful of bolts and washers out of his pocket and told the Harley rider, "well these feel off back there, you want them back".  Put the Hardley Davidsons in there place from time to time.  Just thought I would share.  Oh and this will be my first bike week.  If I find out what time everyone from the North is rolling down the road, I will be waiting at the exit down the road, and ride with them.

Great Joke ... lets make sure we get together before then and ride some.
 
I plan on leaving may 26th from maine and was wondering if i could hook up with anyone to ride down with. Going to bbw
 
I can't wait. I'll be there from around the 10th to the 16th. Trying to find a place on the cruising strip (close to the tiki club) but haven't had much luck. I may just do the condo thing and commute to the strip. Chris
