Well I finial got out on the old girl the other day, my first ride on a Hayabusa, wow is all I have to say about the experience. Did not even go above 5500 rpm yet. Have to break it in. Speaking of that particular topic, I have just over the 1000km mark and need to change the oil, now it says you should take it to dealership so they can check it out to make sure everything is ok. Now I like to keep the cost down, so what should I be looking out for besides changing the oil, and the normal stuff you would check on the bike. Do they do any internal checks of the engine or valves at that time? Did these machines ever have any timing gear noise from them, I not sure if I can hear that time gear noise or not, any advice on what to be doing with the bike would be appreciated.
Thanks Bruce
PS I drove it home varying the speed and RPM, Not to go over the 5500 mark, and it was on March 21 temp outside that day was 3 celuis out, or for my American brothers would be just about 35 degrees F, man she was cool but did not care. Having too much fun driving that 300km home from Edmonton to Cold Lake Canada.
Thanks Bruce
