Need Army Help

My suggestion would be to take that score and talk to each of the branches recruiters. If you are serious about joining the military see who will offer you the best deal.

And for the record. If you have a pulse and only a few felonies a recruiter can have you sworn in within a week.

I would definitely do this.. Talk to all of them.. Who knows, one might offer you ROTC placement.

Sorry. I was offered any job I wanted in the Army. I was asked to be a 98C, but I didn't take it because I wasn't ready to dedicate 12 years before I knew what I was getting into.

Good luck on your adventure. :beerchug:

I looked through all of the jobs, and couldn't find a 98C anywhere. What is a 98C? ???

Recruiter is coming over today for me to pick my job.:beerchug:
I will state it again in case you missed it. Don't sign until you have talked to the other recruiters. You can even do it just to make the Army give a more competetive offer. But in my opinion it's bad to go into any contract without having any idea what a competitor has to offer. :rulez:

You do not have to have any intentions of joining the other branches, just see what they have to offer. It eliminates the "what if" factor and gives you something to barter with. Other than your ASVAB score.

Don't sign anything without reading every line either. Look for the conditions behind everything. They are there.

Cover yourself, the recruiter is covering himself.

98C Is not a bad job and one you can do in an SF Group. I had 98Cs in my detachment and it is a good place to get exposure to the SF Community. It is also a good skill to have if decide to go SF.

I recommend that once you pick you job and decide exactly what you want and get it in writing from the recruiter you tell him to leave you a copy and let you sleep on it or if he will let you wait a couple days. During this time have someone else look at the contract, I would be happy to if you want to scan and email, but have someone else look at it. Also really think about your decision. Then after a day or so if all looks good and you feel good about go in and sign up. Then get you azz in shape as much as you can before you go.

Welcome! Im a prior enlisted officer and love the fact that i wake up and put a uniform on everyday! Good luck to ya brother!

Thanks guys. I'm heading up to MEPS tommorow, and swearing in on Monday.

I'm enlisting as an 11B or 13F Ranger, hope all goes well. I can already see myself wearing the 75th Ranger scroll and the tan Beret now all I've got to do is work to make sure it happens.

To all of you who've helped by wisdom and advice, thank you...I feel I've made the right decision and I'm sticking to it.

Godbless everyone.

I had a score... don't remember what it was. Didn't really matter anyways since I have a GED and they don't give lots of job options to GED'ers. I regret not taking the first job that I was offered... Patriot Missile System Repairer.
