Looks much better without the mirrors. And I ride without them. In all honesty, I actually enjoy the ride better without the mirrors. When I had the mirrors, I would scan behind me constantly. Without the mirrors, I look over my shoulders before switching lanes. The things that the a**holes are doing behind me has no effect. I guess what you don't see won't hurt you. It also causes me to ride in a much more sanely manner (most of the time). The two disadvantages are: (1.) You can't see the SUV that is about to steamroll you, so you don't know to blip the throttle and get away or (2.) You don't know if the Popo is behind you or emergency vehicles, for that matter. I have been streetriding without mirrors for almost two years and no problems. You just have to be careful and make good decisions. Now , depending on who you ride with, you may want to know what their doing behind you. It's not fun to have someone's wheelie land on your tail section. I would never encourage someone to remove their mirrors from a safety standpoint. That's my opinion.
