Do you guys think the Busa looks better with the rear view mirrors on or with the plates in place of them. Also where is a good place to get some plates with the kanji logo on them. Kinda like to look at some. I took the mirrors off my bike this weekend and I am trying to decide if I want them back on or not. Thanks guys.

if your gonna ride on the street ya would be crazy to take them off there a tool that ya just couldn't do with out in my opinion too many things go on back there

Well honestly I don't use them much anyways. I am always checking over my shoulder myself rather than relying on the mirror. Really the only time I have ever used them on the bike was to scan for cops WAY behind me in traffic.

I agree, and in most states it's illegal to drive without the rear view mirrors. Why

would you want to do this anyway if your going to ride on the street. It's dangerous enough seeing behind you, I sure wouldn't want to limit any small part of survival on the street. If grandma can't see

It is all about personal preference and the law in your state. I think that the busa looks better without them but I prefer to have them and look over my shoulder.

Gosh, is there any state that allows no mirrors for legal hwy use? I like the mirror's on, but can see taking them off for the strip. Just way too man yahoo's out there not to be rnning mirror's on the street in my opinion.

Personal choice, but I would recommend with the mirrors for the street.

Ignoring the legality, I think the bike looks better without them, and it may just might be my imagination, but I feel less turbulence when riding.

Do what feels/looks good (and is legal).

in my previous state: Massachusetts. you had to have at least one mirrior to pass inspection.. i believe the left side mirror.

i have driven without mirrors.. never going back to that.. i need them for my safety.

You'd be crazy to take 'em off for street riding..

Looks much better without the mirrors. And I ride without them. In all honesty, I actually enjoy the ride better without the mirrors. When I had the mirrors, I would scan behind me constantly. Without the mirrors, I look over my shoulders before switching lanes. The things that the a**holes are doing behind me has no effect. I guess what you don't see won't hurt you. It also causes me to ride in a much more sanely manner (most of the time). The two disadvantages are: (1.) You can't see the SUV that is about to steamroll you, so you don't know to blip the throttle and get away or (2.) You don't know if the Popo is behind you or emergency vehicles, for that matter. I have been streetriding without mirrors for almost two years and no problems. You just have to be careful and make good decisions. Now , depending on who you ride with, you may want to know what their doing behind you. It's not fun to have someone's wheelie land on your tail section. I would never encourage someone to remove their mirrors from a safety standpoint. That's my opinion.

I would like to try the bar end mirrors. I bought mine blockoffs from JDA Custom, but there was someone in this forum selling a nice 3D type a couple of months ago.

I actually think the bike looks better without mirrors. I rode with them off for a while and I had my moments where I did a blank stare to the left or right seeing nothing but road lol. You have to get used to it if you use mirrors alot like myself, BUT I rather keep them on because my riding style be it cager or moto, I am always in my mirrors ;-)

Took mine off I use a rear view camera and a 3.5 monitor up front. I could only see my elbows in those stock large and ugly things-sorry for the
