Need some 'photoshop' help

Opacity? Don't hurt me Warren...it's still early and I've not had a drop of caffeine...

Now, the answer is NO...no new fodder...unless you'd like a pic of my...no, no...this is a family board...

Photoshop.

Basically, it's a matter of creating a mask that is the outling of the busa (or whatever), and then going into a tool within it and adjusting levels, to where you make the base color whatever you want it to be (as opposed of an everyday base of white, for instance).  That way, all the details, shadows etc are retained (although they also start to take on the new base color as well).

I'm sure there are other ways of doing it that are a tad cleaner and such, but that's the quick and dirty solution.

Fractal Painter you can probably do it in, too.

This is the only time I see me posting this pic myself, and no, it's not a ploy to get others to see the old pink Busa...

What software was used to color "over" the original picture?  Every piece of crap software I have only "paints" over the pic, hiding the features underneath...I need something a bit more sophisticated (whew, big word)...so, any ideas?

Yep, I done that with Photoshop using layers set to different modes and opacity levels. I liked this version better though. Used some other tricky techniques that I don't quite remember right off hand. Looks more realistic...

And, that TP was NOT on the original tire, if was there at all!!!

I know of at least one other member that put WAY more miles on a stocker tire than I did...he hides this fact from you guys, BUT I KNOW!!!

Amd I know it's not me that outdone you on tire mileage. I have yet to get more than 1800 miles out of a rear... Worst was 1600... and that was with no burnouts.

 I have the blonde down (well, a gray shade of blonde) , BUT I could NEVER pull off that shade of lipstick and nail polish

especially with that eye shadow!
