New Busa Owner as of tomorrow...I think

correction of previous post.. My zx11 was a 2000 model.

Supposed to pick up the bike tomorrow or possibly Thursday. Finally got insurance set up as last minute Allstate tells me they are not goign to write the Busa until 2005. Sux for me because I have 3 cars and our house with them! Oh well, Progressive is decent rate for Liability/Fire/Theft so things worked out OK.

Anyway, as soon as I get the bike I will post a pic and let you know my initial riding impressions (which I am sure are going to drstically improve post-break in!).

Went to the dealership and saw the bike assembled/prepped and ready to go tonight(brought my wife to see it too. She says she wants a Yamaha R6 now after sitting on it so that might be the next purchase).

That freakin Busa LE in red is just beautiful, I can't even imagine what it's going to be like to ride. Tomorrow at noon I take possession...and I am sure shortly after it will take possession of me!

Yeah I did OK on the deal. Lowest I could find somewhat locally besides this one was 9950 but no deals on extras and that one REALLY was pushing extended warranty.

Congrats. I am sure you are going to have a hard time sleeping. When I was waiting on mine to get delivered to my door, I was half sick. I thought for sure I was going to puke before the dealer finally arrived with it. That first ride was one of the best feelings in my life!

Wow. Holy F**K...wow! This bike is impressive! Smooth and real quick throttle response. Feels very similar to my YZF1000 I had years back but much more overall power, although I have not begun to reach the upper power spectrum...damn break in!
