Thats what we paid for ours a year and half ago w/13,500 miles and no goodies..

and here's what the slash cut stock mids sound like at speed, last pass is at 145mphth_jaybusa.jpg

Wallie, I hope like hell you have some missing keys on your computer  and you don't really talk like you type . Anyway, my question is, and this is for all the guys that has gave you advice. By taking your stock off and running those shorties with no baffles, riding everyday, could that cause a problem with your tuning, timimg and speed? It does look good too by the way, and if my question gets answered I will do the same thing when I get home from Iraq.

Not my cup of tea.??? Sorry JMO ???
A nice full system will have a nice set of header pipes, but not here.
A nice looking can will really add to the looks of the bike, but not here.
A real system has a nice quality rumble tone to it, but not here.
You get what you pay for.

I just really like the looks, sound, performance and weight benefits of a full quality 4 into one system. Some of these other slash pipes set ups don't seem to do anything but make noise. Kinda sounds cheap. Just my .02 cents worth.

Its probably going to cause a problem with his hearing, his neighbors, the cops, and the public in general. They would also prob ruin any long rides for him and his friends....and without any tuning there won't be much of a performance gain. But they WILL be ridiculously, illegally, obnoxiously loud...and a big black eye for sportbikers in general. Thats the reason several states including Colorado have outlawed aftermarket exhausts. If its not EPA certified (stock) you get big tickets :banghead:

I'm concerned with the running lean issue... I've put almost 10K on the stubby's I have but am getting concerned if I have made any damage. Bike runs out just fine, but not sure if it is hurting the motor. Can a PC III be mapped to make it run richer, is the a map for that???

That is incorrect. Not Colorado but City Of Denver only.

I personally never heard of anyone getting ticket for that.

I was speaking with a guy in FL that I bought mine from and he said that guys that are running aftermarket headers with these stubbys will need PC's and need to tune. They are having more problems than guys that are running stock setup. From what I understand, the factory headers are so restictive, that all the stock cans really do is quiet the sound and offer a little more back pressure. I wouldn't PC this setup. I've only been running mine for maybe 300 miles. I love them. There are guys that are building up the miles though, and have yet to report any issues.

Yeah I know I'm one of them, I put these on at about 800 miles on mile bike. 10k later no none problems but I don't know what is going on internally...

For me, if I can get 10k out of an engine, then I'm hella happy. I have always ridden my bikes super hard and usually have to do a swap between 10-15k. I'm babying the Busa a lot more though. I've had it 10 months and only 2500 miles. At this rate, the bike will be paid for before I blow the engine! What a concept!

Hell_boy I look at mine keyboard and nothing is missing It jus t a user error.
After reading all this post does the bike needs to map or it's all good? About been loud here in Florida they will have to stop all the HD cuz they are louder that mine bike.

I personally am tired of loud pipes.....100 db+ and the officer should meter them and impound them if they fail.

excessively loud pipes serve no purpose but to annoy people and ruin our hobby.

I love the exhaust tips i recently did my 2000 busa i only had one side to do because i had a yoshi full system on it but i'm having problems now with the bike staying running i went to an event and got stuck in some stop and go traffic and the bike start shutting off do you think i need to have it remapped since i've changed the exhaust it could be running to rich:bowdown:
