New Front Springs, X-tre and Shorty Pipes

Never Forgotten
Well I finally got around to taking Lamb's advice in that I should get my suspension upgraded and tweaked

So on Monday I took the Bike over to Lee's Cycle Racing. They spent lots of time taking measurements and making many adjustments with me jumping on the bike. Finally they stated I need stronger front springs. So they ordered a new set 1.1+ and I went back yesterday to see how they were doing. Once competed they stated they needed to set the suspension up again. What was cool is that Jeremy Toye (Super Bike Racer and owner of the shop) walked out and said he would be personally setting up my bike - Cool!

So we chatted about his racing career for over 1 hour as he when thru my bike and changed all the many different adjustments and settings with me on and off the bike. As a racer this dude really knows what he is doing.

They also installed my new X-Tre and of course I installed my new Hotbodies short pipes last week. The X-tre works great and I can still see what gear I am in. The bike feels great and pulls like a 08 Busa should that has been set freeeeee!

So all I can say was that was totally cool spending 1+ hrs with Jeremy as he worked on my bike and the bike feels much better and tighter.

For you big guys like me that weight over 225 (I am 250) you need to get stronger springs in your front forks and get your suspension setup properly.

I road the revised Busa in the San Diego Sunshine today and took a few new photos. Going on a big ride tomorrow with 40+ bikes and hope to post new photos.

sweet pics bro... is there any longterm effects/damage in running that Xtre??? Been thinking about getting one, but I just hate to cut a wire on my baby... besides, I didn't know if running the 5th gear map all the time would damage her in a few years...

Money well spent. You can't go wrong with suspension upgrades.

I'm not really fond of the pipes as I need to keep my hearing as long as possible. It looks to me as if you may be resting your foot on the pipe? Is it not a bit to close to the foot peg?

Cool Ride!

Looks good ! I love the hotbodies mufflers, (you are correct, not loud at all till you get in the high RPM'S )

The only bad thing that happens is you loose a little MPG. After I installed mine you can tell it runs a little richer, how much? I dunno.. Works very well though...

Great upgrate man...whats the front ends feeling now??

The Bike feels much more stable and sucks up the bumps in the road in the corners way better now.

Further the entire suspension is tighter as they adjusted the front end and the back end to match.

So the back end is not so mussy any longer either.

It all feels more solid which makes you feel more confident on the bike in the corners. Its also a bit stiffer on the HWY but easy to get used to and well worth it
