Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Steve, I might be down for a trackday at Hallett. I've heard of some Busa's going up there together and proving stereotypes wrong. I just ordered a Shinko Stealth for the drag strip, so I'll probably burn that tire up and get some 2CTs or something and try to make it to the trackday.

Teddypenn: That was me trying to sell it. There's a guy with an 04 already drag ready with everything I wanted, so I was seeing if I could sell this and get that bike but I think I've decided to keep this and mod it out.

Thanks again guys, this site is a goldmine of info!

welcome!! Your 99 is almost identical to mine, right down to the hindle exhaust and smoked windscreen. But the first thing I noticed is the black pinstriping....looks great and really sets the colors off!!
And just some advice to a new 1999/2000 owner, next time you're at a Suzuki dealership, have them run the VIN to make sure the cam chain tensioner recall has been done.

Welcome to the board! There are quite a few of us okies on the board!

NOOOOOO!!!! There are so few of the Coppers left in original condition! - Don't do anything to it; I guarantee that it'll be a serious collector's item one day. If you want one to mod for drag racing, buy another one in a different colour.

I cant beleive Im going to say this because I love the Stretched Lowered / Fatt Tire Look, But I wouldnt do that to this one either, That Copper 99 is a part of history and I would leave it as stock as possible, If you do decide to do the Mods make sure you keep all the stock parts so some day you can put it back. There will be a day where this bike will be worth alot of money.

I would love to have a copper 99 just to sit in the Garage and Ride on occasion.

I had resale in mind, and I'll definitely keep the the stock parts. I'll put her back to stock when in a year or so, and hopefully transfer the drag parts to something newer and with less miles.

I even plan on cleaning this one up with some more pristine fairings and some newer unworn parts here and there so that someone can have a nice collector's bike one day.
