New guy on the forum...

I am a new guy to the forum and I also just picked up my 2008 busa...

I have a quick question that I know you guys can help me out with. Do you think I should go with some slip-on, or should I go full exhaust. I like the dual exhaust, so I think I will keep it like that. thanks for all of your input.

Imho, should go full exhaust all da way! For the power gains and weight loss alone! A full system usually only cost 1 or 2hundred dollars more and you get so much more! My .02

Once again, thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I know we are all brothers when it comes to our passion and love of riding, however the cruisers/HD guys/sport bike riders don't always see eye to eye. I really did not expect such a response from a site that caters mostly to the fastest production bike out there...and for this, I give ALL of you guys and gals big props! Stay tuned, I will be posting up my winter mods and all new pictures as soon as they are complete (hopefully next weekend!!) Of course, I will start a new thread in the appropriate forum:thumbsup:

Welcom to your next passion - The group of people on here are very helpful and knowledgeable about most motorcycles. Have even seen questions and answers on here concerning HD's.

I know the M109 has gobs of torque, was it stock when it pulled the wheelie in your signature block?

By the way killer bike, I like the M109's need to ride one, and consider it for my stables.

I have quite a few buddies that ride GSXR 1000's and busa's....everyone who has riden my 109 INSISTS they will be adding it to their stable! Believe me when I tell you it is fast. I have raced, and beat, many a 600/750! Yeah it tops out at 150 but that's fast enough for me anyway. In my sig pic, the wheelie was performed with a slip on muffler, stock headpipes and PCIII with a stock map (modified slightly through the mid range numbers to account for 2 into 1 slip on mod). The bike makes close to 110ft.lbs. of TQ stock! On the dyno drag pull (yes I know, not acurate!) it pulled 140hp at the rear wheel:thumbsup:

With my new pipe and Thunder intakes I am putting on, and a DYNO tuned map, I am expecting about 135-140 RWHP and 120 TQ. That is insane power out of a V-Twin!
Keep in mind, that wheelie pic may look easy since most sport bikes can do it with a flick of the wrist....but my bike weighs in at 800lbs wet, and a tad over 1100lbs with my fast azz on it!
