Could you please take a pic of the locking mechanism and how it works?
I looked at those and it just appeared to be a fold down ramp, and I figured the bike could scoot out from under when you tried to roll it on.

The lever placed down or at a 180 degree position is "stop" and this is good for loading and unloading. If you're worried about the bike falling over, use rachet straps to secure it.
The lever placed up or at a 90 degree position allows the dolly to move. The pin you see prevents the bike from rolling off. These levers and bars are in the front and rear of the dolly. Hope that helps...
I got it because my garage is small and it is my gym so I wanted to be able to move it out of the garage and back in easy.
I trust it so much I let my oldest boy start moving it in and out by himself since he was 16.
The on thing I did was I have a 2x4 placed behind the kick stand. That way it is pressed up against the front and the 2x4 keeps the bike from rolling back (the primary goal was to ensure the bike couldnt get pushed forward and have the kickstand fold)
