New Hayabusa owner.

If you get a good rate anywhere on full coverage at your age pm me and let me know where.......cause that's where I'm going. At 17 your lucky any of these greedy insurance company's will cover you at all on a busa even with a good record. Not trying to dump on ya just being real. Oh and :welcome:

Wooo i went and joined the ranks of the Hayabusa owners :cheerleader:

After finding my metallic gray 2009 Busa, paying cash and getting it delivered
i went to an insurance company, and had hysterical blindness

over $7,000 a year.

im 17
Male
Missouri

And ive been shopping around praying to find a good deal and thought id ask what are the Vetrain HAyabusa riders paying so i can figure what an ok deal would be.

So far the best deal ive found is liability from E surance for 1,024 a year.

:welcome:

17 on a Busa??? Congrats! :beerchug: Enjoy your ride post pics. Take it easy ok :please::

Alright time for a little story. Not sure exactly what you're telling him to do, but; had a young man local that bought a black '07, bike was in moms name insurance was in moms name. Young squid pops the front wheel up and beyond 12 o'clock ( he had a very bad day ) and lost his Busa but received several nice scars including one that runs from above hairline to his crack so they could install a nice rod that allows him to walk. I digress. Insurance company paid zip. End of horror story. Back to regular programming.

Wow, that sucks. . . But that had to be an issue with the policy. Otherwise why have I had 2 wrecks, one when I was 17 that was my fault, and one that wasn't my fault when I was 19 and both times insurance paid? Both cars in my dad's name, on his policy. On the insurance card under "insured" is his name. There's no way that that story is how it always is; cause if it is, then every 15-17 or however old kid who gets in a wreck in a car that his parents are insuring, the insurance company wouldn't pay.

:welcome::welcome: im 23 with a two page driving record for the past few years and i just called my insurance company monday and was ADVISED NOT i repeat NOt to get collision hahahhaaa
she wouldnt even tell me the price!!!!! Good luck and :welcome:

Why in the hell wouldn't you check insurance BEFORE buying the bike? ???

The very same reason he'd go and buy the fastest production bike on the planet. Apologies Gem, just having a little fun at your expense.

Before I forget, there are a couple of administrative issues that I need to address:
  1. Ya gotta post pics, it's in da :rulez:.
  2. :welcome: to the .oRg

Insurance - Dude, you're a 17 year old male which in insurance terms means high risk group. To start with read-up on the coverage types, understand what they mean so you can best select the coverage that meets your needs. Then to get the best rate you're going to have to do some shopping around.

To help you out in the pricing depot, I was 23 at the time I bought my K8 and through State Farm im paying 25 bucks a month for full coverage with all the fixins my previous insurance company quoted me almost 600 a month for less coverage on a 04 model. So I highly recomend State Farm very good rates.

Don't know your riding experience but dont say :snap: the first time you open it up.
:welcome: and remember :worthless::newbie: now :corner: until we get pics

Well you guys now how to make a guy feel welcome! glad to be here, and i spent ALL DAY yesterday looking around and shopping about...

Progressive - 7,000 a year - full coverage
State farm - Never got through to an agent, must not want my money that bad.
Esurance - 1024 a year - liability
some small time little company on hte edge of town - 500 a year for my father, full coverage estimating it will double to 1,000 and some small bills, most likely going to end up with that.

and its not my first bike i had a little 500 age 15 1/2 - 17 and i barly fit on it now standing a good 6 foot 5 so i had to get something comfortable, and the busa took the cake and ran with it, and you all have busas, theres no catching it when it runs
