New Here

The should NOT be charging you delivery or setup fees in addition to the price. That is already included from Suzuki... ;)

Ended up with the bike.... and went out the door for quite a bit less than MSRP. Bike will be delivered tomorrow, no charge. Weather's not good today.

Appreciate all the advice. Salesman rode the bike for me, showed me how it works, and that the bike really doesn't need any twist of the throttle to accelerate off of idle. A lot like the Cummins in my Dodge in that regard... just let the clutch out smoothly and she's gentle.

Tomorrow will be a good day to get familiar with the bike... weather permitting. Sunday morning before church will be even better. Excited about the bike... not so excited about the insurance and payment, even though the payment isn't much. Just the notion of being obligated... but will have that taken care of soon enough.

Thanks again,

Mike

Congrats Mike- you will enjoy the bike! Take whatever time you need getting used to the bike- it will be different than the 250 for sure.
You are right- everyone here is pretty cool- I'm fairly new myself and I have to say that I have always felt welcome- even thou my bike being set up like a sport-touring bike is not the norm. Congrats again, and tell everyone what you think!

:welcome: to the dark side. Chime into this site as often as you can. There are plenty of great folks here.

Call state farm for nice quote. And remember INS is not required in Florida even if you finance it .
It is strictly up to you whether or not you get it and if you do it doesn't have to be full coverage either .
I live in West Palm and pay 260 I think every six months for full coverage .
Just be careful this weekend as there will be many drunken idiots out there not concerned with anyone else but themselves. So watch out and congrats !
Enjoy the king of the street and take your time getting to know it :)

Appreciate the info. El Gato, I'm thinking more sport touring, myself, and decided on the Busa over the R-1 and other (quicker) bikes made for more of a track role. The Busa may not me the quickest thing in town, and I will probably never go anywhere NEAR its top speed, but I felt more comfortable on it than on other bikes and am sure it will more than deliver as far as commuting or day tripping on the interstate are concerned.

It should be here in a couple hours... hopefully will beat the rain. I will stick to residential streets (streets used for my daily running route, which are quiet) today.

Mike

Trying to withhold my excitement...
:cheerleader:
