I've started looking for a busa for my wife and i to go riding on.I did a busa search and came across this site. This place is great!! All the info i need rolled into one.My first question is this.I'm 5ft5 and was wondering how comfortable will the busa be for me since i'm not that tall?I'm stationed overseas right now,so i can't just go to a dealer and sit on one.Anyone out there my height that can give me their opinion would be greatly appreciated..

Welcome to the board. the busa has one of the Lowest seat height level. So I'd say you will be fine. I know of one of two owners that are maybe 5,6 at best. And seem to find it quite comfortable. I myself AM 6,5.

But hang a round. I'm sure one of their owners, that is a little shorter will chime in soon enough. And let you know, all you need to know.

But for now, you should look around the board. There is lots to see there.
And Allot of really helpful folk, that will help you out with almost anything You have in mind.

Okay, Newbee....... hope to talk to you soon, but for now enjoyed the site and the madness.

Welcome aboard. I am 5'9" and have a 32" inseem. I need to use my toes when sitting at a light. Don't know if this helps. I have no problem riding, reach to bars and all is fine. Very comfortable ride.

You can lower the ride hieght a little and also lower the entire bike using lowering links and a different triple tree then the stock one (I am sure other members could provide more info on this).

Once again welcome aboard,

You're welcomeFugly..Did my first 13 months in iraq, now i don't know where to next..I have a 32 inch inseam also.I did a lil research on lowering links for the rear, and pingel front end lowering bushings.I also looked at the corbin 2 up seats with the backrest for my wife,so that we can go riding on a sat or sunday all day..Get out and enjoy the rode..Probably gonna need saddle bags. The corbin ones are nice, but ya can't just take em off..So i'll have to do a lil more research on that. Thanks for all your help..

Welcome and Thanks for serving in the sandlot. Tobin seats are custom made and may be the best thing for you.

I have a question... Is it just us in NY or is there an "upstate" California, or "upstate" Florida or "upstate" Virginia

I think it's just us in NY.I've never heard of a upstate anything else..Yeah i looked at the Tobin seats.I might have to get a front Tobin seat and a corbin rear with ovalback backrest for my wife..

Corbin rear with the backrest is the ticket for your pillion....Welcome, and thanks for serving!

You would probably do fine with the Tobin, where in NY you from. I am currently in the Navy down in FL put I am from Binghamton.

Welcome to the board and good luck on your decision. I have rode many bikes and this is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever been on. I am 6'3" but it is still great.

Yeah i'll def. have to lower it a lil. Can't go to low since my wife and i will be riding together most of the time.Don't want the bottom to be tooo low to the road..I'll just get a pair of those rear lowering links that are adjustable, and the aftermarket triple tree for the front. Can i use risers with the aftermarket triple tree,or is it a matter of one or the other?
