Not by much at all! I demoed the Katana and almost bought one (a 135) a few years ago - even had the order form filled out. Really soft (FREAKING SLOW) on heading opening, great flare has lots of bottom on it if you build up speed correctly. What I didn't like was that it had about half the glide ratio of my Nitron, and it dropped out of the sky like a stone in a dive. In the end, I kept and relined my Nitron - it can get me back from a long spot in almose any weather, and I can land it without much effort just about anywhere anytime; handles well in turblence; and I'm not jumping enough to stay current on anything faster. But, if I ordered a new canopy ur jumping it now.
You jumping at kapowsin? I'd live to get one out up there one of these days. Ever go to the WFFC? My avatar is from 05-06 Norman Kent shot that exit I'm at about 5 oclock rear floated an 18-way chuck off that C130; busted immediately after exit but it was still EPIC.
Bring it to me in Tumwater, about 60 miles from you.Ot go to PCC in Tacoma.Karl the owner is a good friend and great guy that is trustworthy.Welcome and we need to ride sometime
K-Pow is as beautiful a place as I've ever jumped; right there in front of Mt Rainier. When you exit it feels like you could reach out and touch it. While I also don't jump as often as I used to or would like, I tend to get to Harvey Field in Snohomish more often.
I have been to WFFC twice in my career, but not in 8 or 9 years. An 18-way off of a C130? That had to be amazing. After it blew apart, did you put it back together, or did it turn into 18 solos?
