Thursday I became the proud owner of my Blue/Silver baby, after months of waiting. I ask dealer if he could check out throttle body sync and TPS adjustment before I picked it up and he knew of no problems with either. I left it with him while I went to get insurance and plates and let him know I would pick her up Sat at noon. Insurance turned into problem as my agent claims that instead of good price he quoted it was really uninsurable with him. High theft rate. Got insurance at 2 1/2 times first quote but got it. Picked bike up Sat and ask mechanic it adjustments were off any and he stated that everything was pretty close from factory. Told him I would just check it myself when I got it home. Guess I should have just taken it home Thursday! Rides like a dream, smooth ride and tracks like on rails. If you just think about turning it does. Fuel injection will take some getting use to, touchy. Got all the stickers off yesterday and will get Heli-bars and gauge faces on this afternoon. Bike is every thing you guys said it is! Jack.

Whats...pretty close? Thats the question I would've asked. I'm thinking that you left it there because you wanted it right on the money, right?

Wait tell you get the chance to rip down on it. First time I did I thought to myself...Man, if this bike runs like this now, I can't wait to see what it's going to do after a little adjustments.

When you order your Gen-mars, tell Gene that Frank Adams said Hi!

Frank,
I understood "pretty close" to mean that he didn't even bother to look at it and he felt no adjustment is needed since it was running when it left. Young kid, I felt like he was a hot dog and hope he didn't run the hell out of my bike before I got it. 5 mile test ride! Hard to find a good dealer here. Jack.

Jack, congrats on the bike. I know what you mean about not wanting them to test ride it.
I lobbied with my dealer on not letting them test ride it. I was there when the bike came in on the truck. Seems they have to ride them to make sure nothings wrong so we came to an agreement. I stood outside and supervised the test ride down the road. Haha
bet they thought I was an as*hole. Thats the reason I wanted a new bike though. Want to break it in right. If I didnt then I would have bought someone elses junk. I know how I would have ridden it if I had been in his shoes.
