New (sort of) rear brake rotor

That's nice Rick!! Do you have an extra rear rotor around? I need one. Once PMRA starts, I want the hit and you leave off idle!
 
Where did you get that done? I've been trying to find the place that does that for months - the only place I knew of went out of business.

You don't want to do that with the front rotors, brakes are too much of a safety item to just modify this radically without engineering.

I wouldn't hesitate doing this to my rear, though, I only use it in low-speed, low-traction situations. That looks very cool and that's a big weight loss.

I pretty much agree with you, Blue1.

However these guys are doing them in AMA road race competition (where the rules allow it) with success and without failures.

Myself"¦.. I bought a new set of Galfer fronts from Cycle Brakes to use.

No way I'm modding a manufactured rotor and simply hope it has the same braking power.
