New toy.

DO NOT "restore" that springfield rifle! Any alteration can significantly affect the value. Maybe find another that doesn't fire and replace the stock as a complete piece, but NO cutting/splicing!
 
Eliminating the Beretta because I have had it forever, when I got back into shooting the 44 was the very last thing I expected to buy. After shooting one, it was the first one that I bought.
 
Got a Springfield Armory xd45 tactical. My favorite. A Walther P22 great cheap gun that shoots flawless and a Taurus 44mag Ultralite. weighs 22 ounces and is a hand canon.

How is to fire your 44? Mine is an S&W all stainless with a 6" ported barrel.
The weight and the port hold it down so the second shot goes off well. :beerchug:
