Not so fast...the Assault Weapon Ban expired here in Cali the end of July, so you CAN purchase them right now, until they figure it out. We have a local range/gun store that are selling AR15's for around $1200. Can't keep them in stock! I believe they only have a 10 round magazine, but you can get the thirty and "play" with the mechanism that prevents it from firing all 30 in sequence.
