New Triple tree vs the 4 spacers? HELP!

I went from the Genmar to a lowering triple for the fact that if in the future if you wanted to raise the bike back to stock height all you would have to do was loosen the bolts and slide the fork tubes down. With the risers and spacers if you ever in the future wanted to change the height of your bike you'd better keep the stock bolts where you can find them because the bolts that come with the risers and the spacers are considerably longer.
The tree gives you more flexibility. From a 1/4 inch to 2 inches. Okay who lowers their bike a 1/4 inch your saying? The thing is if you wanted to you could.

he has a point there. I try to get you some pics of the tripple.

I have a set of 3/4 polished from dr1300r. TOp notch in my book.

Man it is all whatever your taste is. i have had my bike to 3 inches lower in the back to inch above stock. i have had the front lowere 1 1/4 inches back to stock.

it is all what you want to do. REALLY

if your on a budget try the riers your out what 40 bucks i am sure you can sell them back to a board memebr for a little cheaper and still come out pretty clean. out of the deal.

and with the risers it looks tight but how often do you really turn your bars full left or right till you hit the stop... slim to none just an opinion

with the lowering tripple. it can be difficult to get the forks just right. i am not sure on how much tolerance you can play with. they both need to be at the exact height. with with out a stand or something to hold the bike in the air can be difficult. just depends on bydget. and WHAT YOU LIKE

we can talk till your blue in the face but in all reality you have to pull the trigger not us.

not trying to upset you just daying with the great info we can help you decide but it is your ride and you have to be able to live with it..

I have a question on the 08 with the 1 inch spacer in the front is there a clearance problem? No clearance problems at all.

okaaayyyy i'm still confused. if i use the 1" spacers the bike sit lower in the front an inch correct...? now, with the 1" spacers in the front making the bike an inch lower in the front where would my handlebars be compared to stock?

hey i'm a painter not an engineer

If you put in the spacers it will only raise the bars 1 inch. You do not have to lower it. If you want it lowered just loosen the trees and slide the fork tubes up after you put in the spacers. The spacers make the bars raised 1 inch and make it more comfortable of a riding position.

my issue is i like the stock seating position but i want the bike lowered in the front an inch...
