New Triumph is faster than Busa

It's lighter than it looks, 320kg dry weight, 20kg lighter than the Kwak VN200, and 40kg lighter than the Rune 1800.
Pretty niffty at the lights too, it just beats the Hayabusa to 40mph.

yeah and by 50, the busa is like 5 bike lengths out at .08 faster and almost a half second faster to 60....I'll take that race any day of the week

I saw a Rocket III this weekend, and I have to saw, if I was going the cruiser route, I'd get one. It's ALL MOTOR... it's like a HUGE engine in a relativley tiny looking frame with a 400 gallon looking fuel tank on top. Deskpite the cartoonish looks, It's a pretty darn nice looking ride.:O

This reminds me of when I was in high school....I drove a pretty fast Dodge dart with a decent 340 6 pack motor...ran 13.2 on street tires through the mufflers...and there were other guys running low 13's and high 12's....pretty respectable for a bunch of high school kids in the early 80's.....anyway, there was this kid with a bada** Karmen Ghia in school with a killer big bore motor that could absolutely destroy any of us for the first 500 feet or so.....we all would eventually reel him in and blow by, but let me tell ya....seeing that little vw jump out on you at a stoplight drag really pissed you off....and if you were in town, you usually had to get out of it before you caught the little sh*t....kinda frustrating.!!

Of course I am a profession and not every mountain biker will be able to acheive my hole shot!

You guys missed part of the article in which it was really talking about helmet speed. Which would be sideways terminal velocity as you are falling over. You see when you fall over on a cruiser, you will top out at 40mph just before you hit your head on the pavement because in the event that you lost balance sitting at a stoplight, the behemoth weighs so damn much. However if you were on a busa, and you fell over, then you would have an extra 10th of a sceond to think about a new fairing, a new helmet and a rash of poop from everyone for being dumb enough to fall over on a busa in the first place!!! BEFORE YOU HIT YOUR HEAD (silence)
Unless of course you are falling over laughing because some Cruiser freak pulled up next to you on a Rocket and actually revved you and challenged you to a drag race that he THOUGHT he might even have a deadman's chance at catching you.

Stock Busa and gearing will give you somewhere between 78 and 85 mph in first.

Being that we all ride the King of bikes there will always be people gunning for the crown or atleast trying to.

... lemme see if I got this right... ok... till 40mph they are relatively "even".. awww hell... lets say the triumph is a full tenth faster to 40 for the hell of it...

but to 100 the busa is 5.5 .. while the rocketIII is 9.3 something...

uhh... is it just me or does it seem like if this where to be a full 1/4 mile run that the busa would half track the triumph.... and is that somethign to be proud of really?

looks like the same ole same ole to me.. big ass motor no real go.. hell a 600 probably does 100 in less time than that.
