I'm excited about this new 2.5 mile world class track called "The Ridge" right in my back yard which will be available next spring for motorcycle use. This track has an 80 foot elevation change  Also a totally seperate drag strip allowing road racing and drags at the same time. It's located just outside of Shelton Washington which is about 35 miles from my house.

I hope to be the first bike around the track so I can honestly say I held the track record even if I only held onto it for one lap

Should be a ton of fun. Come join us next season if it's within your reach. I think you'll be glad you did!

Holy cow, is that DOWNHILL or UPHILL? Somebody's got the 90's music on their minds...

So....got my bike ready yet? Looks like a WA Trackday in my future! LUCKY BASTID

Your bike is always ready! Just drag your arse up here with your helmet under you arm and we'll get busy.

I think the track can be run either direction? Not sure just yet but I'd be surprised if it was directional. When this thing is complete there should be a restaurant, hotel, camping area to name a few. I just hope they have a starbucks onsite :-)

The track was originally scheduled to be operational by August but we all know how these project go? Cost and time always run over.

been wanting to visit washington...now i got a good reason! looks like a fun track!

That is beautiful stuff, how fun to ride it! That shot looks like Corkscrew 2.0. Is it being built to AMA or WSB specs? Doyle

I'm not sure Doyle. I do know they had input from lots of track owners during the design stage. I understand the owner of Thunderhilll made more than one visit up here. Apparently it was designed to attract professional racing thus the hotel, restaurant etc. We'll see?

40 feet wide and 2.5 miles in length with 80 feet of elevation change! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. You should bring your carcass up here next season and give her a shot. I'd be happy to entertain your visit!

Dude that looks sweet and real close . Can't wait to see the drag strip !

cool...thats not far at all...have step son and grandbaby in seattle...have to make a trip out of it!

Lucky you! That looks like it will be a great fun venue.
We almost had a new track here. Also about 35 miles from my house, but the financial crash nixed the plan overnight. Maybe some day..
