I just don't get why a person who assassinated someone is being touted as some sort of folk hero...

I read the police who arrested this clown are getting death threats......

I can only imagine what will happen when he is convicted....and he will be......

What a sick world....

First. He should got have shot him. He should go to prison for it

Next. You don't understand how frustrating our failing healthcare system is. The man he shot, made $10M a year based on the profits he made for UHC. Those profits occured by taking $ away from policy holders paid out healthcare benefits.

And UHC is one of the worst of many.

I see frustration and despair everyday from people that get denied for lots of things they shouldn't have to be fighting for.

This man, like others, see no other way to send a message to the very people they paid to provide care for them.

There appears to be some evidence he had a pretty significant neck injury that has left him in a bad way.

And I wouldn't at all be surprised if we learn he has a drug addiction. Likely Opiod rooted. Initiated under the care of UHC.

If everyone who has some sort of issue just went around shooting people, there wouldn't be anyone left....

There are "fat cats" making a bundle off the people they are supposed to be helping all around the globe.

What's scary is the "martyrdom" given to this guy who assassinated someone......for whatever reason....

Again I am not in any way condoning what he did.

Just trying to help you understand why many citizens understand why he did.

I get it......frustration is a tough thing to deal with.....

Assassination is assassination regardless of the root cause.....

I would say you are correct and some sort of drug addiction will come into light.

Pain over extended periods of time alters your mental decision making skills. Judging from the pictures of his X-Rays, he was in significant pain.

Let's make a metaphorical comparison. Let's say you found your grandchild was purposely hurt by someone that poisoned his/her food and he/she became paralyzed. Then you found out they did this to other children.

It might be hard for you to stand by and let them get away with it.
I have very specific training that would make me a real threat...so this sort of comparison isn't valid....

Would I want to protect my family....sure.....

If I was in immense pain due to a medical condition, my "go to" thought would not to seek out the CEO "responsible for medical coverage" and assassinate them......

Protecting one's family-especially the vulnerable ones and my personal self are very different things in my eyes.....

I do not think it was right what he did. But as you know from your years of deployment, angry young men often make bad decisions on how to vent that anger. Governments thrive on training angry young men.

Americans are tired of being effed over by rich elected officials and greedy corporations.

Noone in America, should have to be rich in order to get sick. That gets to the core of some people.

I understand your view......and it's a valid one......

However, vigilantism is not the way in a western nation and it should never be......

If someone got screwed over when they bought a new Hayabusa(and with all the issues, someone might feel this way), their "go to" reaction shouldn't be to go find the president of Suzuki USA and assassinate them......

A motorcycle is far less emotional a loss than the care of your physical health that people pay $$$ for over and over and over, only to be told sorry you're just gonna have to suffer now when you get sick.

Healthcare has been a hit potato topic in this country for about 30 years now.

I don't know, I've seen people go over the edge on some pretty trivial things...each person has their tipping point......but they rarely go on an assassination binge.......

This assassin wasn't from some down in the luck family....he was an ivy leaguer and had means that few others have....

I wager he will go into a cell for the remainder of his life....as he should.....

Yes he came from privilege. He had also dropped out of sight from his family. So something happened to change his life. Certainly a mental health issue in the end.

We will have to wait and see what's going on in his mind.

Supporters are putting up wanted posters of others ceos in NYC.
This kid will have the best atty and back room support he can get. He will get 5-10 in a country club prison. I doubt he will do 40 in Rikers. But you never know. Unfortunately many don't see the one he killed as a man with a family. They see a person who repped misery and money. Like a French king they don't care, off to the guillotine!

Anyone wanna wager whether or not insurance policies will change in our favor now? :)

Must be that you never heard of Kyle Rittenhouse. Or you just conveniently forgot about him. The trump cult members made him out to be a martyr. This is the flip side of the coin.

I just saw a story on the NBC nightly news that some people are now getting huge medical bills cancelled and liens against their homes lifted. Maybe the CEO's of these insurance companies are starting to realize that they have targets on their backs.

And I sure don't agree with vigilante justice, no matter who it is. This man didn't deserve to die any more than the probably mentally ill man who was killed by Perry in NYC.

And it is good to see that TallTom and I agree on something. I've always said that "I have more in common than uncommon with other humans, no matter who they are".

He was also found not guilty by a jury of his peers.....

Nobody made him out to be a martyr, they just supported his verdict.....as he was defending himself..

This person actually assassinated someone and fled........he will get his......
