Hi Jared and
I've been using the combo of a camera, YouTube and this forum for a couple years now to learn/share. Shoot a picture of it, record a video, post the photo and/or youtube link here. If I don't know what something is, I'll post a pic and ask what's this? Members always respond, even when the answer is obvious to them but not to me. And even if the question's been answered here already. At the very least, you'll get a link pointing you in the right direction.
There are also several repair/maintenance procedures extensively documented on this site. Use the
Search function to fine-tune your question. Many,
many of these members have torn down every part of their bikes and are more than willing to share their experiences. Feel free to send private msgs (PM) to members.
- Swapped my headers out with help from a member in NY
- Got my Yosh exhaust from a member in GA
- Wheels from a member in TX
- Block-off plates from ... can't remember who that was, or where...
- Upper Fairing panels from VA
- Replaced a sub-frame section after watching one of those procedures
- Received a PM personal tutorial on suspension from a member in NZ
- And clutch upgrade PM advice from a member in Victoria, Canada
My point is, with this knowledgebase being accessible via Internet, location no longer matters as much. I agree with Dopey - pretty sure we have members in AZ area. I'm in SoCal, about 300 mi from you. Reach out to me via PM anytime. It wouldn't take much arm-twisting to get me to ride out your way.
[EDIT] My other point is it will always be less expensive to go through this method than dropping the bike off with a mechanic who may or may not have ever put their hands on a Hayabusa. Maybe not as fast, but much more reliable, always in context.
