Newish to sight here's my little Busa

Hey! is that the 120 Volt Motor Mod? What do you do when you run out of Extension Cord? hee hee:laugh:
Glad you got it running. Enjoy your ride tomorrow. l
Looks great!

Haha the cord was hooked to the die grinder at one time, there is a tab on the fairing under the seat i had forgotten to grind in my haste to put it together. Today we will see how she rides. I boxed up the old parts and the wieght difference was I'm guessing at around 20 pounds.

The mod itself is quite easy but its a hit on the pocket book. E-bay reduced some of the pain by me being able to find used fairings. I purchased a 08 gsxr 750 fairing and personally like the style better but i could not find a box subframe to fit it. Next year i will figure out a way to put the 750 tail on the Busa for uniqueness. LOL

I took her for a ride today and noticed a change in the rear suspension which i expected with it being 20lbs lighter. very nice ride but may need to soften the rear shock to get that soft feel back or maybe not lol kind of like the new feel and 20 lbs makes a difference in how it manuevers feels a little easier. All in all very happy with the mod and seems alot of people are looking at it to figure out what the heck ive done LOL

Welcome to the ORG! I like your pics but I wouldn't change my 2 busa's looks.... Thats what makes em special. My first thought was why have a busa and then "change it to look like a Gixxer"? ahhh, that just me... lol

I Love my Busa and it took Three Years before I made the change I too like the original look but I personally disliked the way the rear fender went out into a point by itself when you removed the fender plastic. Busa's are the most gorgeous bikes on the road. I love the power and the feel on a Busa. We all have different tastes and its cool.

With the Busa being the most modified bike in the world I wanted mine to be a representation of my style of riding. Twisties to me are more to my liking than straight roads. So I made mine into what I liked to do. I'm not insulted you may not like agree with my mod. Like I am not insulted when I see one with a 300 tire on it. Its what that person likes.

I wish I could own 2 Busa's that would be awesome. Very happy for you. But how do you decide which one to ride that day. Hmmm that would be a tough one especially when you think about the bikes feelings of being left at home by herself.

I applaud your honesty and hope you always keep it shiny side up, We can still be Busa Brothers even though my butt looks smaller. LOl j/k

heres a pic of the tail.....

Hey cajmex i'm tryin to do this mod as well, only I ran into a few problems. I know yours is a Gen II, but was wondering if you could help. I got a 2006 Busa, ordered the 2007 gsxr 1000 kit, but it didnt come with the screws for the tail lights, there's no bolts for the passenger pegs, the wiring harness doesn't match for the lights, and the lock doesn't reach to the new seat. Hope you can help me out, im gonna email the guy i got it from and see if he can send me the extra parts but would like your input since you've done it. Thanks

sounds like youre only missing a few bolts and screws i would hit the dealer up for the parts. pretty cheap

as for the harness you may have to use your original plugs from your old tail.
