Does look like a fireblade or cbr 900/929 as called in the US.

no its not...all of those have the swingarm mounted to the engine not the frame...I have rebuilt to of them if its a fireblade it would have to be newer then 2003

i don't see much that is done other than the questionable mod to the tail, and removing the fairings and adding a set of handlebars.

yup...i used to have one very similar to this...early 900rr...

what a twitchy front unstable piece of work that thing was. biggest excuse for a bad tank slapper i have ever tossed my leg over.
