im tring to buy a nos kit used, i was wondering how many people are runing the ecu editior with nos? if so could some one send me a map?
i need a map for this
05 busa brocks street smart ex. smog removed, stock airfilter,
then one with the same stuff but running a dry 40 shot?
will my bike still shift sparyin with my mps auto shift?

I have run a 45hp shot on a 06 Busa. Stock exhaust, small box mod airbox, stock air filter, no smog. On a Dynojet 250i - 154hp no nitrous. 200hp on 50hp shot.

On the ECU editor I was running 13.0AFR off bottle and 13.0AFR to 12.5AFR at the upper rpms on bottle with no timing removed on pump gas using the map switch function. I had it activate @ 6k rpm and turn off at 10.2k rpm. Top speed limit removed and Hard cut fuel cut. Rev limit raised to 11.2k for some over rev protection IMHO. I also use a 1st gear lockout to allow the nitrous to flow 2nd gear up.

I use to have all of the electronics for WOT, Progressive and Window switch crap. Using the ECU editor helped get rid of that crap as some of it was troublesome. I don't use a progressive unit and the ECU editor doesn't provide that functionality, but 50hp is easily handled 2nd gear up IMHO. I use a CycleTek air shifter and kill box with this and have absolutely no issues.

The map (.bin file) is at SH.org.

ECU Map Files - Post Them Here

There are also a couple others with exhaust on SH.org. I would look them over. With the airbox mod, I do not have hesitations that are typical in the 2k-4k range when snapping the throttle quickly open.

Dry. Edit: I had it shut off at 10k then shifts were 10.2k. That allowed enough time to empty the airbox before the shift. Never have any backfires between shifts.

For nitrous, get yourself on the dyno, sharing a map on the internet and then spraying without knowing what AFR is, would be the easiest way to start shopping for replacement engine parts.

Ive made a lot of the ecu nos harnesses for gen 1 busas, it works very nice.

I totally agree but my map originated from Greg's first map on his wife's Busa. I only had to do light tweaking here and there when I put it on the dyno. I put this map on another Busa that had a full pipe and it was smooth but just a little leaner than I like. So I richened it a bit and the bike runs great.

According to dyno jet,They do not make a map for NOS,,But after talking with ryan from schnitz raceing,is easy,,,Of course the best way to tune is dyno,,but you can get a map from powercommander to the specs of your add on's and insert it raiseing your full level at WOT position at 8000 rpms for the % of fuel needed for the size of the shot your useing ,and thats it,,read their nos chart from schnitz,,you can get it off their website,,,,I started my increase at 7000 at 16% [15 reommended for a 40 shot] on my bike,,,the rest of the map can be just a standard map from dyno jet,,when adding Nos,,you only have to add the fuel at WOT only,,ryan also suggested that some of his guys will add alittle more at the 80% throttle postion,to have extra fuel when you let off of it to clean the airbox out,,another issue is,,even tho you insert a map with your add ons,,doesnt mean its going to run well on your bike,,all bikes even tho their the same brand name and cc and add ons,,the same map will act differently in each one,,so in my own opion,,its a stating point, and ryan agrree'd.. dyno if you can,,but if you have tech experince and a good ear for motors,,you can tweak your map by hand,,in 1st or 2nd,,roll from a start easy on the throttle in incriments and monitor the surgeing rpm range and the throttle postion where your hand is,,mark it down and continue to the upper rpm range, then do 2nd gear the same way,,its painstakeing,,,but it works,,the go in to your computer and pull up the exsisting map and see what the numbers are in that range[throttle postion and rpm,,and ussually you;ll see it either straveing or a huge increase infule drowning the motor down In that particular cell ,,,,,,dynojet recommends something like that with the low-mid-high buttons on the PC when your driveing ,you can pull over and make the adjustment,,but I dont know of anyone ho has done that agrreable with randy at dynojet,,,,it easier to do it the way i discussed up top,,,you can use someone elses map,,even with NOS ,,if your running about the same setup, some tweaking may come into play,,but Ive down numerous of them and they turn out good,,,remember the map can be used from another bike,,no different than downloading one from DJ,,,its where the extra fuel is that matter when you spray,,and by the way,,ryan doesnt agree with spraying at a low rpm,,neither do I,,it slaves the motor and put too big of a load on it,,,thats why I dont like TB activated NOS at WOT,,,,I dont need it in 1st gear or how if I hit WOT in !st or @nd at 2000 rpm's? thers goes the Nos kicking in,,,I prefer a switch,,I used the 6 pole from Schnitz and wired it into my horn button,,,,,I also added 7% more fuel @ WOT at 5000-6000 rpms then 16 % at 7000 on up,,that why if I hit the Nos at 5000 by the time it gets to the airbox from the solonoid, I'm at 7 plus rpms anyway,,,,sweet deal,,,,
