NO 08 for the bug... Yet

go with the five spoke. They are the HOTNESS!!!! and while your orderin yours, get me a set also. Or I can just figure my set into your price.......Ha ha.

You may want to check out the Two Brothers exhaust for the 08`s, They are lookin pretty good this year.

Josh
I'm with you on this one my brother... But, already done the TB exhaust before wasn't really impressed! I do however like the looks of there 08 stuff. Leaning more towards Akro, Sumo, or Hindle

Most deffinetly the 5 spoke. But why not go with the all carbon wheel?
Might find my way to the track with the new one and don't want any problems with the officials.... Some won't let you play with the all carbon fiber! Now, I'd love to go that route since I've worked with CF for almost twenty-years on/off again at Boeing.

If you buy new wheels for the 08, would you be interested in selling the OEM gold ones to brother Hal?

I'd a done this in a heart beat had someone not already spoke up for them...

Bugster,
I am not a gold fan, but if you like it, cool.
I would go with the 5 spoke. Those are pretty darn sweet!
Now, as far as the pipe goes.
The Sumo is THE best performing pipe for a big motor, and UNREAL craftmanship! Hands down the best pipe out.
3 overbore, CnC or Spaz ported head, and Megacyclye .385 cams, and you're looking at a 240-250hp 1441cc KILLER!
Combined with the weight you will loose with the header and carbon wheels and LOOK OUT!
Let the fun begin!

What color are you getting, BTW?

I looked at CF but the cost vrs unsprung weight/looks ratio just didn't compare to the Carrozerias....no arguements...just my opinion only. I can't even park my bike near others without comments on the Carros. I paid $1460 for them (plus rotors of course).

Thats what I was thinking... Killer ride! Blue is the color I've been held hostage to.

The weight info on the CZ wheels for whomever that was that said there isn't much of a difference. Anything CF is gonna be even lighter...

Stock wheel weights:
front, no rotors, w/ valve stem 10lbs 7oz
rear, w/ cush and steel 40t sprocket 19lbs 7oz

Carrozzeria wheel weights:
front, no rotors, w/ bolt-in steel stem 7lbs 11oz
rear, w/cush and steel 40t sprocket 15lbs 12oz

Savings of 6lbs 7oz (roughly 6 1/2lbs)

6.5 lbs is not much when you look at the bike as a whole but figured in as unsprung spining weights it is quite a bit...

My Marvic Piumas took off an another 3 lbs over the Carrozzerias. An even 7 lbs on the front and 13.3 on the rear.

The Marvics are usually a bit higher and are Magnesium. The Carrozzeria are forged aluminum so may be a bit better choice on the street. I do not think they are DOT approved as well. I know the Marvics are not. The drag strip was my primary concern. The Carrozzeria may be a better choice as a street wheel for the average person.

Here is a link to a pretty good wheel article. Link
