No Mar tire machine is home....

Might get some $$ back if ya got some of yer buds you can take care of. :beerchug:

Yep, already have three friends who want to start coming to my place to change their tires !! I can see some pizza/beer parties with the excuse of changing tires in the near future !! :beerchug:

3 people went in on mine...made it VERY affordable...it works as easy as the show it in the video...Ive done atv tires up to my 240 tire for my busa....no problems....dosnt scratch the expensive rims either!

Awesome.. I watched the vids on them and it does look pretty simple and effortless.. I work on a drilling rig so I don't think it will bother me too much !! :beerchug:

the $80 harbor freight setup is not much different (I use it on polished/painted rims) and so far I have not torn up any rims at all..

I did buy the No-Mar tire bar ($100) to go with the machine.. it is all just a matter of taking the time to make sure the wheel is secured prior to trying peel the tire off...

I bought my lift from Harbor Freight, very nice, but the tire changer with M/C attachment just looked a little too flimsy for my taste.. I do about 10-12 tire changes just on my 2 bikes alone every year, not to mention the friends and family that will be coming over now. I just couldn't see the thing holding up that well, and to get the balancer and all the other goodies including the attachment for doing my dirt bike tires, and the hitch mount for the track, the No Mar package deal just made it all the more appealing to me.

I do 2 or 3 sets of tires a month on the HF unit.. it does look flimsy but amazing enough, it is pretty solid (I have it anchored to the cement floor)

It does require a bit more time and care for sure and having worked them both, the No-mar is easier AFTER you figure it out..

Safety to wheel: No-mar 1 HF 0
Ease of Use: No-mar 1 HF 0
Cost of unit No-mar 0 HF1
effective ability to change a tire on rim? NM/HF both get 1

The HF unit NEEDS the No-mar bar or the equivalent as the tire bar supplied will tear up aluminum wheels.. The main advantage to the HF is the $600 price differential... (for my use, this was sufficient)

If cost is NOT an issue, buy the No-Mar hands down.. (unless you want a "powered" machine..)

 They sent a DVD with all the "How-To's" so I can stand there in my garage, staring at the TV, standing over the changer, confused as heck, until I finally go get one or five cold beers to help with the thought process...
