Noisy Valvetrain?

it happens to my 03 sometimes. but never during riding. sometimes hear it when i stop and at idle.

At 6250 miles, mine has developed a rattling sound on cold start, right case. Obviously clutch related, goes away in 1 or 2 minutes...mechanic says normal, goes away when oil reaches top of plates. Drives me crazy. Mechanic says when it comes to tracking down little noises like that, you can litterally scatter the motor and sometimes never find it. Just do what my wife does...turn the radio up.

Rev you shouldn't be getting any "farty" sounds from your intake. Do you also get a slight miss when you hear those sounds?....or a stumble? You might just have something loose in the air-cleaner/intake are...but it could be a small backfire out the intake...which isn't good.....give us some more info
