havoc, I believe that second pic is the old spiral highway in lewiston id. You'll definitely want to ride it. Great road, very little traffic.

Okay, the old spiral highway is about 9 miles. It was the original road from the top of lewiston hill down into the valley. Very twisty, two lane blacktop. On the lower part of the hill there are afew houses, but after that its clear. Hardley any traffic since the easiest way up & down the hill is now a 4-lane. Highway 12 out of lewiston runs along the clearwater river up to a place called three rivers. Great camping, also some cabins, but I would call ahead if you want a cabin, they fill fast during summer. from that point 12 follows the Lochsa river and on into montanna. Just before you cross into Montanna there is another campground/lodge. Lochsa lodge. great place for lunch or dinner and to spend the night. Missoula is about 40 miles from lochsa lodge. Highway 12 is good road, very twisty, alot of fun on a bike. Hope these are the kind of details you wanted. Almost forgot the campground @ 3 rivers,it's Three rivers campground.

It is a great road to ride on. Let me know if this is going to happen. I might be in.
Thanks
Kelly

Yeah, I'll be up for this... Assuming of course I can get away from work... Well that's assuming I have a job...

Sounds like fun though... Count me in.

You might be correct. 129 runs from clarkston down to the oregon border and on into enterprise or. If that's the pic then it's probably what people over here refer to as rattlesnake grade. another great road to ride. rattlesnake grade is southwest of clarkston.

let me know closer to your ride dates if you're still planning on making the ride over. If you don't mind I wouldn't mind tagging along on the ride up highway 12 or maybe meet up somewhere along highway 129. if you don't mind anyway

I'm in Boise and would like to meet up with you for a good ride if that is ok. Let me know what the plan is. Where are you guys coming from?
Thanks
Kelly

Yeah this sounds like a good trip as well. I am outta Boise to. Kelly and I could ride together. It is starting to warm up. I rode to work today and it felt great. See you out there.
Dan

Where are you leaving from? I would like to go but I think it would be a Loooonnngggg! way for me to  get there.
I'm in clarkston wa,which is probably about a 10-12 hr drive from billings. Although you could slab it down I-90 to missoula and the take US12 into Lewiston-clarkston. Not too bad of a trip. so how's the weather over in billings?
