Not another one

Glad you are sitting there typing Doug.

If and when you feel like it, post some pics up of the gear

Glad you are still with us.

According to witnessess Kings head went through the drivers window striking the driver of the truck causing facial injuries to the driver 64 year old oklahoman. [/Quote]

Good to see you got a shot in on the driver. Glad you're doing well.

Doug, glad to see you have your sense of humor back. It's always a good indication of alertness. You are more than the owner of this site, you are someone we can all look up to and respect. Thank God for the gardian angel and the gear, both needed whenever we get on our bikes.
Take Care...

After looking at the pics of the wreck, I am amazed that there were no broken bones or worse damage to you.

I need to see pics of the jacket / armor - cause I gotta get me some of that stuff!

Glad you are still alive and kickin' Cap.

Cap, although I'm fairly new to the oRg. I couldn't agree
with you more (re: wear your gear). Every time you leave your house
these days you are taking your life in your own hands. So glad that you are a great example for the oRg. and advocate the wearing of gear. I see so many kids here in Cali. riding on the freeways, splitting lanes, and just riding with reckless regard wearing little or no protection other than a helmet. I hope that everyone that reads your post realizes the dangers of riding unprotected, and the impact it could have on surviving family and friends.

Well Cap. we are all so happy that you escaped your accident with only
minor injuries and that your are on the road to a speedy recovery.....   Take Care....

Glad to hear you are doing better, hope you get well soon and get baqk in the saddle!

glad you made it safe as can be expected

I hope I never post my own story, but if I do you can be sure it will include the fact I was wearing my gear

Cap,
Glad to hear your O.K. man. I know you must have been pretty scared for the second or 2. Hope you don't give up on riding though. Would love to see you again next year for the bash.

Thanks for pushing the excellent advice. I cannot believe it when I see peeps riding (motorcycles) without protection.

Well done, sir.

Glad to see your humor is intact ! I took a year off after wrecking my ZX11. Only you can decide to get back on or not. Thanks for wearing your gear my friend. Enjoy the meds..

(Punisher @ Jul. 24 2007,12:56) Cap,
Glad to hear your O.K. man.  I know you must have been pretty scared for the second or 2.  Hope you don't give up on riding though.  Would love to see you again next year for the bash.
Punisher my man...... I am not getting off the bikes... My wife stands beside me in this decision... For the past couple of days people have asked if she was going to make me get off the bike and she told them no. I figure that same situation could have happened in a car or any other vehicle... I do not want to live in fear all my life, afraid to die, afraid to make a mistake.. I will get better gear and make smarter choices but I will not give up the bikes.... It has however played a little in the speed department and I can now see where I need to slow down a little.... I have a tendancy to twist a little too much...

I will see you there my friend and I expect you and Apex and junstintyme and Daryl to be there too.....

Doug,

I'm also very thankful that you are recovering and in line for the '08-and-a-half 1500cc, 250 rwhp Busa. I really liked your writeup, but I seem to be most grateful about one thing that nobody else seems to have picked up on yet... "viewing of the body will not be necessary..." I seen enough in the pic you posted...

Doug. Thank God you are okay. I'm glad you are posting and able to make light of it. If you need, maybe 2Quik can send you some new nuts...

I couldn't agree more. All The Gear, All The Time.
We responded to a similiar wreck here a few weeks ago. Rider T-Boned car who suddenly changed mind on turn direction. Rider had a lid, that was all besides T-shirt shorts and sneakers. He was medivaced. He had lacerations from glass that penetrated deep tissue and organs. Had he had at least a jacket he'd have been much better off.

Can't say enough, thank you for being responsible. God Bless you and your family during healing process. How's your son doing?

Glad you are feeling up to typing Doug. Sorry I have not contacted you directly but I am still on the way home from the Black Hills.

I am very glad you were fully dressed for the ride. I hope your dad and son are ok also, from seeing the accident. Best wishes to all.

As an Ordianed Minister. Or " GOD ON A BIKE !!!! " as some people say. Your Time is not over on this Planet. I always Pray Before I Ride. Sometimes the prayer is as simple as " LORD, PLEASE DON'T LET ME FU.. UP "
