Now This just takes the FUC&IN CAke

All anyone is asking is to her from Nick or a friend. let these guys know what is happening. If Nick can't write or take the time (because he is behind that is fine) just tell the guys the name of the game. People will understand. people will not understand when they don't hear ANYTHING. So lets keep this in context. Forget about waht has been or what is, just a word will be fine. people can not understand if they have nothing to understand with. All of the guys have every right to be concerned....

Busa Bro,
I don't believe that GIXXER1300R was refering to you.

You are justified in your concerns.

Nobody is making excuses. I should have never brought up MY situation.
Everyone seems to be thinking that I am making excuses for him, with that statement .

I was simply trying to show that under a bad situation, he got MY stuff to me.

Some people can't read.

You are correct, Nick should return your email.
Good luck

I just got off the phone with Nick. Yes HE called me. We talked for quite a while. He had some serious explaining to do. But I kept it cival and relevant. NOw according to him, he is going through another very tough situation. I must take him at his word, cuz that's all any of us have in this forum. Now the deal is he will have my parts to me by MOnday. If not, then. Well we will cross that bridge when we come to it. I will be patient for a few days more. I will keep everyone appraised of the issue. If Nick squares the deal. I will say so and our transaction will be complete. It is also my understanding he will be contacting everyone else and posibly maiking a public statement today or tommorrow. Again I have to take him at his word. Nick, Good luck to you in your situation.

Damn! Hope everything turns out ok for both of you guys.
Peace

Man...We all have situations...I simply believe you should get what you pay for in a timely manner...If you had a deal with someone and they didn't meet their end of the bargain then they need to make things right and I don't mean by putting you off another two weeks or whatever...

I've made deals with members of this board and there has not been any problem...We gave our word to one another and stood by the same...

If things are so bad then why is he still taking orders when he can't get out work he already has...

If I tell you I'm gonna do something then you better believe the only thing that keeps me from it is that I'm on my death bed...

BusaBro,
I also can speak for Nick.
I went thru some dealings with him awhile back, and let me tell you.
He was going thru an extremely trying time, and he made good by me!
It may have taken him a little while, but we are square....................He'll get ya fixed up

I won't get into his personal business here, but to go thu what he did, and still get me fixed up is alot more than I can say for ALOT of people!

And just a side note. Before anyone gets too hott and decides to take a trip to Orlando....................Take it from the SLEEPER, drink some lemonade and cool off, you might get what you ask for.
He ain't no punk

That is just MY opinion and isn't meant to start anything, jusy MY opinion.
Sleeper, I hear what you are saying .  Are you a personal friend of Nick's.  If he really did go through some tough times before.  All if that is understrandable.  But  How do YOU really know what he was going thru.  COuld it have been a way to defend how slow he was getting stuff done.  I'm not trying to start anything either.  I think that is evident from my posts. BUt when you have this type of situation.  (And i guarantee Nick has read all these posts)  THere is ample opportunity to step up and man up.  If my poop ain't painted mail it back with my money.  As easy as that.  WHat else could be simpler.  If they are painted ship them back.  What else could it be.  He has told me twice they were shiped out.  Once on this board MArch 4th and once on the SH board last week.

WHAT THE FUC*!!!!
Trust me and sleeper it was a VERY BAD and SAD time for Nick
Nicks life has had some real bad luck in the last year or so, I know you would be quick to cut a bro some slack if you knew.

Every deal I have ever had with Nick was 100% square, He will will square your deal as well to. as far as taking a road trip to his house, and not being a punk, better go in a group of two or three, I have doubt it will take that many if you piss the guy off. Don't take me wrong Nick is a nice guy, But I would wan't to piss him off (and I'm 6'4" 265lb guy that can hold his own)
No offense dude, but if you know the guy so well, contact him and ask him WTF is going on. Remember the guy your talking about here also had plenty of time to answer an email about the chance to make another sale and some more $$$. I am a Fire Fighter/EMT too and wouldn't dream of pulling this crap.

Busa Brother, Nick seems to have actually came through, although I don't agree with the lack of communication, and lying about sending them out, it looks like they shipped on Monday.  A friend who had been waiting for 2 months for his finally recieved them.

If I'm sniffing up the wrong dress on this one thinking your post doesn't smell right, My apologies.

Super Slueth to the rescue....

Wow, some people actually read stuff on here .

kiddin' , yer trying to help.....very cool .
He read it, but missed that the stat is AVERAGE POSTS PER DAY....1, not the guy's first post.

Now I will chime in on the subject of Gixx.
First off, he does about the best work I have ever seen. I know that's not the subject, but it needs to be said.

Second, I am pretty sure he does this on the side which could account for delays. This is no excuse....just an attempt at trying to understand whats going on.

I bought my painted mirrors from him. They were top notch! It did take him longer than he said it would, but not bad enough for me to make a big deal about it. I then wanted to get my Painted Inners from him, but he was unresponsive to some questions I had, and then wouldn't expedite the work for me. In this case, we both lost. He lost my business, and I settled for lesser quality product.

The bottom line is that he is similar to most "private contractors" I have come in contact with. They all seem to take longer than they say. If they are as good as Gixx, they probably are in high demand, which makes the situation worse. As a businessman, of course he is going to be responsive to new opportunities. You always want to keep the pipeline full. It is easy for guys like this to slack off of customer service for business they already have. They don't always realize that customer service is as important as a quality product. Forums like this can help communicate the good and the bad. Hopefully, he will read all this and realize that he needs to be more responsive, even when the answer isn't good. But rest assured that you will eventually get your stuff, and it will be top notch.

Greg

Thinker62 actually that was Conrad's FIRST post, he now only has 5 total post. His daily avg. post is .01 not 1.

I agree with you on Gixx1300r quality workmanship, but as you stated that not the subject. Had not BB or I believed he produced a quality product we wouldn't have sent our stuff to him. The issue are the timely return of the products, the lack of communication, and the flase promises that the products were in the mail and on the way.

First, if you promise me something can and will be done at a specific time thats what I expect. If its there gonna be a delay just let me know and give me the right to decide whether i want to wait or the return of my products and money.

Second, if situations arise that affect the completion of a transaction call, email, or pm the purchaser of the product or service. At least let me know so I have time to make other arrangements if it is possible to make other arrangements. Whatever you do don't stop responding. If you are unable to respond have someone else respond for you, so that I the customer at least knows whats going on... It makes people feel better if they have an idea of whats going on even if they don't know the whole story.

Finally, don't do "the check is in the mail" line. It builds expectations and sets up a situation where someone is going to be GREATLY disappointed and frustrated. Not to mention one feels lied to... and people who have paid for a product and have not recieved it typically don't take walking to the mailbox not finding the "check" there well.

From a retailer or distributor's point of view I understand keeping the pipeline open for new buisness. I've owned and operated a buisness since 95. which means i made it through the 3 yr barrier. One thing I've learned is while quality is important, personal integrity and customer treatment are moreso. People well return to a place that they can trust and that treats them well even if the quality is not as good as somewhere else. On the other hand if you have a quality product but have a reputation for poor customer service and questionable integrity, people don't come back. And perhaps more importantly the negative word of mouth kills your buisness. And I've seen that happen with new buisnesses more than a couple of times over the last decade.

Now specifically in this case. I trust Gixx1300r, and I know he'll get my parts to me. That I do not doubt. I believe him to be a man of his word. I'm familiar with his situation. Nevertheless and with all things being understood, I've gone 6 weeks and missed two scheduled events on parts that had a 1 week turnaround. So its not a question of "will they get here" , but "when will they get here", and why was i told "they were already in the mail".

Once again I understand Gixx1300r situation, but my situation could have easily been addressed with an email and a UPS tracking #

Well gentlemen (and LADIES!!!) I have received my pieces from NIck. I must say even though it took a while and there were communiation issues. They look DAMN GOOD!!! Un fortunately Nick is going thru some things that precipitated these issues. But he did square up with me. I think he also squared up with everyone else. I don't think he is painting panels anymore though. As evidenced by a post I saw on psychobike. But i will say they lookgood. I have yet to put them on the bike. But I am hopeful and prety positive the lines will match up. Thanks for completing the transaction Nick. Good work. I wish you the best!!

Glad everything worked out. Know get them installed & show us some pics.

I've been on the board longer than most and am aware of Nicks past and present situation. But when you tell someone something is in the mail and on the way it should be. Or just say I'm behind and i'll get it to you by a certain date. I think the real problem lies with the lack of communication and unkept promises. Whether its 6 hours or six weeks, most of us on this board trust each other based on our WORD. Many have bought, sold, and shipped items to eaach other based on their word. While freebies may be delayed (they are free) when people place money and products, and their beloved bike parts in the hands of others they are simply asking that their trust be kept intact and in good faith. Most are understanding to a fault, and over the years I've been on the board guys have supported on another to a fault. From good will donations to prayers for the fallen, its been family and friends. I think those who have parts out, including myself... are simply saying ok "don't tell me my stuff is in the mail and on the way and its not" , don't tell me a week and then its 6 or more... We're understanding when there's communication and honesty....  If this were an Ebay transaction most would be raising  hell and there would be icons of blazing guns .... but Nick is one of ours  and has been for some time so he gets the benefit of the doubt, but because he's one of ours he needs to give us the beneifit of the doubt  --come straight, come honest, and say when the parts will be in the hands of the owners... Details on the delay don't need to be stated unless he feels the need to do so. I'm understanding and considerate, but I still want to know when my parts will be on my bike and not in limbo.. Missed Daytona-which reservations were made for, and another event because there's no need to go to a bike event without a bike. The dash panels or something you can ride without if bad comes to worst, but the inner panels and radiator cover --thats a little different - definitely unsafe because of the aerodynamics, plus the parts were due back almost a month ago.

For the guy that got his back after 2 months I'm glad he got them back, but that still doen't make it  right.. Hey I could go on (cause i have time I'm not riding, but I'm not gonna go ballistic till or even dawg out Nick, but I'm expecting my parts to be in hand by Friday -cause i have a bike trip planed for the weekend

Hey Dezzy, that was the best explanation of this scenario by-far. I too have been around awhile and have dealt with Nick also. I too know what Nick went through in the past year or so, but come on...something as simple as a reply or a phone call would have sufficed and kept Busabro cool. Everyone here can relate to feelings when MONEY is involved. I've dealt with Nick in the past and his work and ethic IMHO was 100% on the up-and-up. I'm basically a pretty understanding guy myself, but I get a little befuddled when I've paid for something already and no one wants to talk to me. From what I've read so far, all Busabro wants is some communication either way. Either the panels are done or they are not. If they are not, then he just simply requests his money and panels back, then he'll go from there. As far as pissing people off goes: U know the sayin'..."It's better to be PISSED OFF than PISSED ON!!!"

Posted before I read everything in it's entirety. Glad everything worked out for you and everyone else. Hope everything goes well for Nick also.

Hey Dez, you must have been a business major or something closely related. You sound exactly like a marketing textbook. Being a degreed marketer I can attest to all you have said is 100% correct. Any smart business person will tell you that you should spend most of your resources (80%) focusing on current customers and the rest goes to new customers. And that my boys and girls is the Business 101 lesson for today...

Hope all works out for everyone involved here. Sounds like both the buyer and seller are good people over all...

Don't get me wrong, I would be real mad not to have my stuff for this long a period of time. I would probably be looking for new parts now though if I were you...
